I'm Yvonne X., the breeder behind Tonkerhaus located in Carpentersville, IL. I am small family breeder. I train and trial my own dogs with some respected trainers/ breeders who have 50+ years experience. My pups are born in the home with lots of attention and special care. They are exposed to kids, household noises and much stimulation. I start an early neurologic exercise program which helps your pup develop to their highest potential and become fabulous pets. I have many happy families with references. They are raised in a family way and are often loose in yard exploring and visiting with people and kids and other dogs. They are not in breeding kennels. They are loved and cuddled daily! I spare no cost in their health. They come vet-checked, wormed regularly, up to date on vaccination and micro-chipped. The best raw food and vitamins. Every pup is special to me.
Q. & A. with Yvonne
Why did you start breeding?
I have always been invested in the well-being of animals. I wanted to give back to the breed by producing healthy pups and placing them into loving homes. It is such an honor to preserve the line of these incredible dogs all the while creating companionship for others.
What makes your program special?
I focus on breeding dogs that have enough drive to keep up with my lifestyle, but also have amazing temperaments and can quickly adapt to a calm family setting. I take pride in raising well-tempered and socialized puppies who can excel in work or as beloved companions.
What are the different breed coat types in your program?
Our puppies have stock coats. Coat types may vary depending on the parent dogs.
What are the different breed coat colors in your program?
Our puppies are black and tan. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.
Where do your breeding dogs live?
They live in my home.

Price
Puppy prices include a $300 non-refundable deposit and between $1,695 - $2,200 final payment, before taxes & fees.
“Price includes all worming and vaccinations UTD, microchipped, vet visit, take home bag. All my puppies are well socialized with kids and other pets. They run free all day outside visiting and playing in large yard with neighbors, kids noises, "helping " me with yard work. They are only kenneled at night or when I'm not home. I ask for deposit as I have only a few pups available a year. I can't tie up a pup from a future good home if your not sure and back out at last minute. Plz do your research, make sure this is what you want and understand the commitment to a puppy in training and time.”
