At Torgun Police Dogs, we breed Belgian Malinois and Dutch Shepherds with structure, confidence, and stability for police, sport, or protection. Why did you start breeding?
Brandon began training and trialing in IPO in 2012 before shifting to APA protection work when it was created around 2017. Over the years, he noticed many Belgian Malinois and Dutch Shepherds lacked stability and balance. This inspired us to breed dogs with strong working ability and clear-headed temperaments—capable of high performance while also being steady companions.What makes your program special?
Our breeding program is small and selective, focusing on producing stable, balanced dogs with the drive to excel in sport, police, or active homes. We’ve benefited from mentorship with Rik Wolterbeek and provide lifelong breeder support to all families. Early socialization, environmental exposure, and genetics combine to produce puppies ready to thrive in any setting.Where do your breeding dogs live?

About Violet
Violet (BRN 49098) is a medium-sized, approximately 60 lb female Malinois with a confident, serious, and work-focused temperament. She is neutral with strangers, environmentally stable, and brings a strong presence both on and off the field. She has strong drives across the board, including powerful bite work and excellent food drive, paired with a deep bond and responsiveness to her handler. Violet is highly engaged and thrives in structured training environments. She actively trains in protection, sport, and obedience, and is currently working toward her APA certification. Despite her working intensity, she lives comfortably in the home and maintains stability in day-to-day life. This is Violet’s second litter. She consistently produces driven, capable puppies best suited for working, sport, and experienced homes.

Mazikeen is a well-balanced female with her Practical Protection Dog Prep and Level 1 certifications. She is a trained personal protection dog with excellent engagement, strong working ability, and a stable, social temperament. She spends her days in a high-volume office environment where she regularly interacts with a wide variety of people, demonstrating confidence and reliability around adults and children. Mazikeen has an exceptional on/off switch—able to remain calm and social in public settings while also engaging and working at a high level when asked. She loves working with her handler and being around people, embodying the balance of drive, stability, and temperament that we value in our program.

Scar is a large male Dutch Shepherd with the perfect balance of fun-loving personality and serious working ability. Around the house and when relaxing with his people, Scar has a happy-go-lucky, easygoing temperament and loves being part of the family. When it’s time to work, however, he flips the switch instantly and brings intense focus and determination. Scar has excellent food drive, strong prey drive, and an exceptional ball drive, making him highly motivated and eager to engage in training and performance work. He thrives when given a job and demonstrates confidence, athleticism, and enthusiasm in everything he does. Scar represents the versatility and drive the Dutch Shepherd breed is known for, while still maintaining a stable, enjoyable companion temperament.

Hip Dysplasia
Hip testing reduces the chance of passing down hip dysplasia, which is primarily found in large breed dogs and can cause hip pain and the eventual loss of the function of the hip joint.
Vet Wellness Exam
A breeder may perform additional tests on their dogs that do not fall into these general categories. These tests may be more uncommon or very specific to a particular breed.
DNA Disease Panel
Genetic testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide variety of hereditary diseases of differing prevalence and severity such as Progressive Retinal Atrophy (an eye disease) and Von Willebrand's Disease (a blood disease).
