I'm Jordan T., the breeder behind Transcendent Kennels located in Gainesville, FL. My goal is to produce healthy and well rounded puppies that fit the breed standard. My focus is Standard Poodles and American Bullies. My dogs live in my home and are shown, titled, and tested beyond CHIC requirements. The health and wellbeing of my dogs come first.

About Augustus
Augustus is an amazing boy. He is a medium drive, medium energy dog that aims to please and is a joy to be around. He loves other dogs and people and we use him to help socialize young dogs. Gus loves to be a therapy dog and aims to comfort those who need him the most. Augustus is a black and white Parti phantom that carries brown and sable.
Augustus excels at training for scent sports, mantrailing, rally obedience, and conformation. We are starting to do agility, weight pull, barn hunt and more. He is an all around dog that I hope to keep showing and doing performance sports with for years to come.

Breeder-Reported Testing
Good level
Transcendent Kennels reports to performing the health tests below on their breeding dogs. Ask your breeder about the tests performed on the parents of your litter. Learn more about health testing for Standard Poodles.
Hip Dysplasia
Hip testing reduces the chance of passing down hip dysplasia, which is primarily found in large breed dogs and can cause hip pain and the eventual loss of the function of the hip joint.
Elbow Dysplasia Finals (OFA, BVA, SV, FCI)
Elbow testing reduces the chance of passing down elbow dysplasia, which is primarily found in large breed dogs and can cause arthritis in the elbow joint and front leg lameness.
Cardiac Evaluation
Heart testing reduces the chance of passing down congenital heart disease, which can cause a range of symptoms ranging from trouble exercising to heart failure.
Dentition, Thyroid (Autoimmune Thyroiditis, registered with OFA)
A breeder may perform additional tests on their dogs that do not fall into these general categories. These tests may be more uncommon or very specific to a particular breed.
Genetic Diversity Test, Degenerative Myelopathy (DM; SOD1A), Cone Degeneration, Neonatal Encephalopathy with Seizures (NEwS), von Willebrand Disease III (vWD III), PRA, Cone-Rod Dystrophy 1 (PRA-crd1), PRA, Cone-Rod Dystrophy 4 (PRA-crd4), DNA Profile
Genetic testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide variety of hereditary diseases of differing prevalence and severity such as Progressive Retinal Atrophy (an eye disease) and Von Willebrand's Disease (a blood disease).
Health testing is one key piece of responsible breeding and is performed on breeding dogs to prevent the presence of heritable conditions in their puppies.
