I'm Kelley B., the breeder behind Treue Herz German Shepherds located in State College, PA. We have exceptional imported West German bloodlines. Our puppies are available to quality indoor homes.
Q. & A. with Kelley
Why did you start breeding?
I just love animals and growing up my parents considered breeding our 2 Irish Setters. The female did not an exceptional temperament so the decision was made to spay her. We did raise a few horses and I was introduced to quality and responsible breeding practice at a very young age. I always wanted to have a few litters of puppies even as a child. So as an adult I have achieved that goal.
What makes your program special?
My dogs have been successful as service dogs detecting low blood sugar. One of my owners fainted and her dog was standing over her licking her face when she came to. I had a 9-month-old find a water cadaver 22 feet below the surface. So tragic but the family had closure. It is never about us, it is about them.
Where do your breeding dogs live?
They live in my home and a kennel on my property.
