Meet the breeder

I'm Lea S., the breeder behind True North Pomskies located in Olathe, KS. My love for dogs comes from a family legacy of breeding spanning 3 generations, beginning in 1987. My dogs are raised in my home as family and are temperament evaluated, trained, and socialized. My breeding dogs are health & DNA tested, every pup goes home with a pedigree and first round of vaccines.

Q. & A. with Lea

  • Why did you start breeding?

My grandparents on BOTH my mother and father’s side were dog breeders, it basically runs in my blood! My family carries three generations of breeding experience, whelping, training, and raising pups in addition to veterinary education. Over the years my family has bred variety of dogs including yorkshire terriers, schnauzers, poodles, labrador retrievers, and now pomskies.
  • What makes your program special?

In addition to generational knowledge and experience, my pups are born and raised in my home as part of my family. They are our whole world. They receive great care, training, socialization and exposures, ensuring the happiest and healthiest puppies. Our parent dogs are all health & DNA tested prior to breeding to ensure top quality pups! Our pups begin crate and potty training before going home.
  • What are the different breed sizes in your program?

Our puppies include toy, mini, and standard sizes. Sizes will vary depending on the parent dogs.
  • What are the different breed coat colors in your program?

Our puppies include silver, wolf sable, silver and white, gray and white, lavender, blue, white, black, black and white, chocolate, and red and white. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.
  • Where do your breeding dogs live?

    They live in my home.

Lea sent us plenty of puppy updates, met me at the airport of my convenience, and answered all of my questions. Nalo is a happy puppy and adjusting so well which really shows how much work she's put in! She also gave us a welcome home goodie bag which was so appreciated.

I had the privilege of watching my puppy Raya and her littermates grow from birth and the level of care they receive is truly exceptional. Lea does a wonderful job raising the puppies and providing them a clean, enriching and loving environment. True North Pomskies goes above and beyond, and Raya is a perfect reflection of that. You can genuinely tell every decision was made with the well-being of the puppies in mind. I’m so thankful for the love and care Raya received, and I know she’ll carry that foundation with her for the rest of her life. Lea is also very informative and quick to answer any questions with full transparency. I would recommend True North Pomskies to anyone looking for a healthy, well-raised Pomsky from a truly ethical breeder.

I had such a wonderful experience with Lea at True North Pomskies! From the beginning, she was responsive, helpful, and kept me updated throughout the entire process. She made bringing Rio home such an exciting and special experience. 🐾💙 Rio is absolutely adorable, sweet, playful, and already so loved. You can tell he was well cared for and loved before coming home to me. Lea was also wonderful about answering my questions and making sure I felt prepared for his arrival. I’m so happy I chose True North Pomskies and couldn’t imagine a more perfect addition to my family. I would absolutely recommend Lea to anyone looking for a Pomsky! ❤️
