Meet the breeder

I'm Lea S., the breeder behind True North Pomskies located in Olathe, KS. Our family has been breeding dogs for three generations. I am a small breeder as I prefer to have my dogs in my home as part of my family. All our dogs are from champion bloodlines and all pups will go home with a three gen pedigree and up-to-date vaccines. Parent dogs are health tested on Embark.

Q. & A. with Lea

  • Why did you start breeding?

My grandparents on BOTH my mother and father’s side were dog breeders, it basically runs in my blood! My family carries three generations of experience of breeding, whelping, training, and raising pups in addition to veterinary education. Over the years my family has bred variety of dogs including yorkshire terriers, schnauzers, poodles, labrador retrievers, and now pomskies.
  • What makes your program special?

In addition to generational knowledge and experience, my dogs and puppies are born and raised in my home as part of my family. They are whole world and are treated as such. They receive great care, training, and different exposures, ensuring the happiest and healthiest puppies.
  • What are the different breed sizes in your program?

Our puppies include toy, mini, and standard sizes. Sizes will vary depending on the parent dogs.
  • What are the different breed coat colors in your program?

Our puppies include wolf sable, silver and white, gray and white, lavender, blue, white, black and white, and red and white. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.
  • Where do your breeding dogs live?

    They live in my home.
