I'm Janice T., the breeder behind Tuchscherer Kennel located in Mapleton, KS. Our goal is to breed not only a beautiful companion, but one that has come from health tested parents. We are looking for correct structure, the willingness to work (in any endeavor), and a temperament to go into any environment and be a confident family member.
Q. & A. with Janice
Why did you start breeding?
I had a friend that had started breeding before me. She had a beautiful male puppy that she offered to me. I fell in love with the breed because of Brix. I was unable to breed him, but it sent me on a quest to help in breeding the correct way.
What makes your program special?
I don't believe mine is any more special than another's. But we stand behind each and every puppy we produce. We strive to only breed healthy, structurally correct German Shepherds that will bring something to every family they are placed with. We also will always be available to answer any questions or concerns, no matter the age of the dog.
Where do your breeding dogs live?
They live in my home and a kennel on my property.
