I'm Linda C., the breeder behind Turkay Anatolians located in High Springs, FL. All of our dogs are bred for working instincts, health, correct structure and temperament. I carefully choose the sire and dam in order to produce the best quality possible. All breeding stock are working dogs and OFA certified for hips, elbows and thyroid.
Q. & A. with Linda
Why did you start breeding?
I purchased my first Anatolian Shepherd in 1997 to protect my goats and property. I fell in love with the breeds‘ loyalty and amazing working instinct. I decided this was the only breed for me and began my breeding program to ensure we would always have a few of these magnificent dogs on our farm.
What makes your program special?
I work to preserve the working instincts that these ancient dogs have had for the past 6000 years. This is the most important aspect in my breeding program. I only breed dogs that display the correct working temperament, structure, and health. All breeding stock are OFA certified Excellent or Good hips and Normal elbows and thyroid. I offer lifetime support for the life of the dog and offer a full guarantee. I will take back any dog that doesn’t work out.
Where do your breeding dogs live?
They live in my home.
