I'm Liz C., the breeder behind Two Bridges AmStaffs located in New Milford, CT. We are a small program committed to breeding healthy, quality dogs that conform to the breed standard. Temperament is of the upmost importance to us, so all of our puppies are well cared for and properly socialized with children and adults of all ages before leaving our home.

Why did you start breeding?
We were asked by Kim Rudzik of Fraja EC American Staffordshire Terriers to partner in co-breeding. We absolutely loved the process from finding the correct breeding plan to watching our puppies become beloved parts of their new families.What makes your program special?
Buying your new puppy from a show breeder is a decision you will not regret! Preservation breeding is focused on breeding the highest quality and best examples of our breed. Only a small percentage of puppies are assessed as 'show quality'..... the rest go to companion/performance homes. They are the best pets- as they were purposefully bred to highlight all the best qualities of the breed.What are the different breed coat colors in your program?
Our puppies include white, red, fawn, brown brindle, brown, and black brindle. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.Where do your breeding dogs live?
They live in my home and guardian homes.
Getting a puppy from Liz
Liz has been certified by Good Dog’s screening team for responsible and trusted breeding practices. When you’re ready, reach out to ask about the puppies or anything else on your mind. You’ll get to know each other through messaging, phone, or video and pay securely, all on Good Dog.
Liz partners with buyers to find the best match as the puppies develop and their personalities take shape. Typically, matches are finalized when the puppies reach about 6 weeks old.
“When we have litters, we try to make sure all of our puppies are sold to loving committed homes. We do our best to screen the owners to ensure a good match between the puppy and the buyer.”
Price
“All puppies go to their new homes under a written contract and with appropriate worming and vaccinations, a health examination, and microchip. Picks of puppies are not chosen on a first come first serve basis. We will evaluate each puppy and do our best to match puppies personalities to those prospective owners.”

This helps protect both you and your breeder, ensuring that you both have a clear understanding of the terms of your puppy purchase. Parent health testing
Excellent level
Two Bridges AmStaffs reports to performing the health tests below on their breeding dogs. Ask your breeder about the tests performed on the parents of your litter. Learn more about health testing for American Staffordshire Terriers.
Hip Dysplasia
Hip testing reduces the chance of passing down hip dysplasia, which is primarily found in large breed dogs and can cause hip pain and the eventual loss of the function of the hip joint.
Elbow Dysplasia Finals (OFA, BVA, SV, FCI)
Elbow testing reduces the chance of passing down elbow dysplasia, which is primarily found in large breed dogs and can cause arthritis in the elbow joint and front leg lameness.
Cardiac Evaluation (registered with OFA)
Heart testing reduces the chance of passing down congenital heart disease, which can cause a range of symptoms ranging from trouble exercising to heart failure.
Thyroid (Autoimmune Thyroiditis, registered with OFA), Vet Wellness Exam
A breeder may perform additional tests on their dogs that do not fall into these general categories. These tests may be more uncommon or very specific to a particular breed.
DNA Disease Panel, Neuronal Ceroid Lipofuscinosis 4A (NCL4A), American Staffordshire Terrier Type
Genetic testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide variety of hereditary diseases of differing prevalence and severity such as Progressive Retinal Atrophy (an eye disease) and Von Willebrand's Disease (a blood disease).
