I'm Jeanne E., the breeder behind Uey’s Chihuahuas located in Summerfield, FL. Prior to being a full time breeder, I graduated from The University of Florida with honors in Health Science Education. Breeding healthy chihuahuas is a top priority for me. I have extensive vet records to share upon request. I have a beautiful setup here for all to see.

Why did you start breeding?
I have always loved chihuahuas and had them all my life. I started breeding on a very small scale in 1992 while attending college. I exclusively breed chihuahuas in order to concentrate on improving the breed with a strong focus on health.What makes your program special?
My dogs are my life and my retired breeders are in high demand; because they are perfect, very social little dogs in extremely great health. I retire my dogs at 6 years old or younger and never breed one that is under 1 year old. All of my dogs have health insurance Insurance; which follows them to their new owner when they retire. On Google, Uey’s Chihuahuas has lots of really great reviews.What are the different breed coat types in your program?
Our puppies include smooth and long coat varieties. Coat types may vary depending on the parent dogs.Where do your breeding dogs live?

Hip Dysplasia (rDVM, not registered)
Hip testing reduces the chance of passing down hip dysplasia, which is primarily found in large breed dogs and can cause hip pain and the eventual loss of the function of the hip joint.
Elbow Dysplasia (rDVM, not registered)
Elbow testing reduces the chance of passing down elbow dysplasia, which is primarily found in large breed dogs and can cause arthritis in the elbow joint and front leg lameness.
Eye Examination (rDVM, not registered with OFA)
Eye testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide range of hereditary eye illnesses including retinal dysplasia, lens luxation, and glaucoma, which can cause impared vision or blindness.
Cardiac Evaluation (rDVM, not registered with OFA)
Heart testing reduces the chance of passing down congenital heart disease, which can cause a range of symptoms ranging from trouble exercising to heart failure.
Patellar Luxation
Knee testing reduces the chance of passing down Patellar Luxation, which results in the kneecap becoming displaced or dislocated and can cause mild to severe joint pain.

Jeane, I wanted to take a moment to thank you from the bottom of my heart for the wonderful experience of bringing Kiki into my life. On the same day I contacted you, I also reached out to five other breeders. Everyone was polite and professional, but what made me choose you without any hesitation was something much deeper, the way you treat your dogs, the love that is so clearly visible in your work, your calm presence, your patience, and the genuine care you show to people. From our very first conversation, I felt a strong sense of trust, almost like there was an unspoken ethical standard that immediately put me at ease. Today I’m absolutely certain it was the right decision. When I asked if we could do a video call so I could see the puppies and interact before deciding, you said yes right away. The very next day you were already sending videos and guiding me through everything with so much kindness and availability. Even though I’ve had many dogs throughout my life, it had been a while since I last had one, especially because I recently moved to the United States. I had many questions, particularly about Chihuahuas, and also because English is not my first language. You were always incredibly patient, attentive, and gentle, answering everything calmly, never rushing me, never pressuring me, and always making me feel comfortable. Kiki arrived even more beautiful in person than in the videos, which I honestly didn’t think was possible. But what impressed me the most was her temperament. She is such a little ray of light, sweet, calm, and very well behaved. On her very first day at home, she already showed that she knew how to use her potty area, which surprised me because puppies usually take time to learn. That clearly reflects the loving, structured environment she came from before arriving here. I’ve interacted with many breeders over the years, many of them good, but there is often a certain distance or formality. With you, it was completely different. I felt warmth, honesty, and true dedication from beginning to end. If I ever had to choose again, I would choose you every single time without hesitation.
