Chris M.

Breeder of German Shepherds

Meet the breeder

I'm Chris M., the breeder behind Validus Pastoris Kennels located in Randolph County, AL. I take pride in breeding quality puppies and strive for quality health, temperament, and conformation. They are raised as family! I breed with a focus on health above all, and I genetically test my dogs so I can be sure they will pass on good genes to their puppies. I want my puppies to be wonderful family companions and bring lots of love and joy into their forever homes.

Q. & A. with Chris

  • Why did you start breeding?

German Shepherds are an incredible breed, and I decided to start my breeding program in order to preserve the wonderful qualities I found in my dogs. They excel both in their work and as companions. I am dedicated to improving my lines with each generation so that the breed will continue to thrive for a long time to come.
  • What makes your program special?

I genuinely cherish German Shepherds and am committed to looking out for the breed as a whole. I focus on breeding dogs that have enough working drive to keep up with my lifestyle, but also have amazing temperaments and can quickly adapt to a calm family setting.
  • What are the different breed coat colors in your program?

Our puppies include sable and black. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.
  • Where do your breeding dogs live?

They live in my home and a kennel on my property.
