I'm Kristie H., the breeder behind Virgin River Samoyeds located in Surprise, AZ. Our dogs are bred for health and temperament with a focus on confirmation and intelligence. We are dedicated to providing families with loving family pets. Our puppies are raised in our home with children and adult interaction throughout the day. They have experienced the sounds and stimulation of everyday family life.
Q. & A. with Kristie
Why did you start breeding?
When our youngest child was 30 days old, she became very sick and was hospitalized for about 2 weeks, and spent a week of that in the ICU. She was given large amounts of IV antibiotics during that time. After she recovered fully, I spent some time researching how to get her gut bacteria back to optimal levels. Every bit of research said the same thing; get a dog! That's when Trixie came along.
What makes your program special?
Trixie is a member of our family. Her puppies are whelped in our living room and are monitored there for the remainder of their time with us. They are exposed to the daily sounds of family life such as vacuums, doors slamming, kids screaming etc. Our puppies have grown up trusting and loving humans and craving that interaction. The puppies in our program enjoy time out of the crate daily, to get exercise and play.
What are the different breed coat colors in your program?
Our puppies are white. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.
Where do your breeding dogs live?
They live in my home.
