I'm Rhonda M., the breeder behind VMH Shepherds located in Allentown, PA. I health test our breeding stock, and all are treated like my children. I truly love my dogs. My program was built with care and intention in every step. I am passionate about the health and wellbeing of this breed, and I want my program to be an example of how to responsibly breed high-quality, healthy dogs.

Why did you start breeding?
My mom used to breed. I love all my dogs like my children and love making families happy by helping add their new addition.What makes your program special?
My pups and dogs are all home-raised, socialized, and house trained. All of my dogs and pups are on nuvet vitamins as I give them the best I can.What are the different breed coat types in your program?
Our puppies include stock and long coat varieties. Coat types may vary depending on the parent dogs.What are the different breed coat colors in your program?
Our puppies include black seal, black, isabella, gray, black and tan, black and red, bi-color, blue, and liver. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.Where do your breeding dogs live?

Sire is ofa good hips and normal elbows and embark genetic testing clear. Raised in doors with other dogs and all different noises. Socialized from day one. Would do well in search and rescue or therapy work plus obedience and more. Located in effort pa. She comes from fully health tested parents and has some drive but is a great family dog

Hip Dysplasia (Preliminary), Hip Dysplasia
Hip testing reduces the chance of passing down hip dysplasia, which is primarily found in large breed dogs and can cause hip pain and the eventual loss of the function of the hip joint.
Elbow Dysplasia (Preliminary), Elbow Dysplasia Finals (OFA, BVA, SV, FCI)
Elbow testing reduces the chance of passing down elbow dysplasia, which is primarily found in large breed dogs and can cause arthritis in the elbow joint and front leg lameness.
DNA Disease Panel, Degenerative Myelopathy (DM; SOD1A)
Genetic testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide variety of hereditary diseases of differing prevalence and severity such as Progressive Retinal Atrophy (an eye disease) and Von Willebrand's Disease (a blood disease).

Rhonda was amazing through the entire process! We had to have our pipes replaced right before Christmas and we couldn’t bring Hazel home when she was originally ready. However Rhonda was so awesome and able to keep her an extra week for me until the contractors finished the piping. I’ve also never owned such amazing puppy. Hazel was already pretty much house broken when she arrived ( we’ve had a few accidents). Hazel is so smart and such a quick learner. I definitely will be working with Rhonda again in the future!
