Meet the breeder

I'm Suzie A., the breeder behind Vom AshtonHaus German Shepherds located in Wickenburg, AZ. Our dogs are health tested, temperament tested, Beauty is just an added bonus. Our dogs are raised in our home, not kennels. Our dogs are bred to be pet, show, working dogs, and family dogs all around super characters. We take pride in matching the right dog with the right family or person.

Q. & A. with Suzie

  • Why did you start breeding?

I got into breeding because I have an aunt who did it and I learned well from her. It was her, she taught me and it became my passion! My goal is to always better to breed. I love what I do. I love making families happy and producing well tempered, health tested titled, and beautiful dogs that are loyal, smart and easily be trained for show, service work or family pet. I am proud of my dogs.
  • What makes your program special?

My program is special because I am always with the mothers as they whelp. I am their mid-wife. I never leave them alone during the process, this also gives me the opportunity to instantly start bonding and imprinting with the puppies. I sleep with the mothers for the first 24 to 48 hours to make sure puppies and mother are well during this critical phase of life. The mother and I work as a team.
  • What are the different breed coat types in your program?

Our puppies have long coats. Coat types may vary depending on the parent dogs.
  • What are the different breed coat colors in your program?

Our puppies include sable, black, and black and red. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.
  • Where do your breeding dogs live?

    They live in my home.
