Vom Caldera

Seet T.

Breeder of German Shepherds

Meet the breeder

I'm Seet T., the breeder behind Vom Caldera located in Vacaville, CA. Our dogs are bred for health and temperament with a focus on conformation, athleticism and intelligence. We are dedicated to providing our families with healthy and stable family pets.

Q. & A. with Seet

  • Why did you start breeding?

We get into breeding when we discovered that we had a very intelligent working line German Shepherd female dog- Hailey in 2012. She had produced some very nice pups that we trained and trialed with.
  • What makes your program special?

Multiple of our dogs are titled in the Schutzhund sport to IGP3. They are all health tested.
  • Where do your breeding dogs live?

    They live in my home.

Breeder-Reported Testing

Excellent level

Vom Caldera reports to performing the health tests below on their breeding dogs. Ask your breeder about the tests performed on the parents of your litter. Learn more about health testing for German Shepherds.

  • Hip Dysplasia

Hip testing reduces the chance of passing down hip dysplasia, which is primarily found in large breed dogs and can cause hip pain and the eventual loss of the function of the hip joint.

  • Elbow Dysplasia Finals (OFA, BVA, SV, FCI)

Elbow testing reduces the chance of passing down elbow dysplasia, which is primarily found in large breed dogs and can cause arthritis in the elbow joint and front leg lameness.

  • Temperament Test

A breeder may perform additional tests on their dogs that do not fall into these general categories. These tests may be more uncommon or very specific to a particular breed.

  • Degenerative Myelopathy (DM; SOD1A)

Genetic testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide variety of hereditary diseases of differing prevalence and severity such as Progressive Retinal Atrophy (an eye disease) and Von Willebrand's Disease (a blood disease).
