I'm Missy O., the breeder behind Vom Cosabar located in Vancouver, WA. All of our dogs are fully health tested and titled in a vast array of sports. Missy has been certified by Good Dog’s screening team for responsible and trusted breeding practices. When you’re ready to reach out, feel free to ask any questions about the breed, their program, or specific puppies.
Missy partners with buyers to find the best match as the puppies develop and their personalities take shape. Typically, matches are finalized when the puppies reach about 7 weeks old.
“Puppies are evaluated and matched based on gender and temperament at seven weeks of age. As the breeder, I make the final placement decisions to ensure the best possible fit for each home. Because I am with the litter daily and closely monitor their development and behavior, I am positioned to assess each puppy’s temperament and individual traits”

“The price includes both parents being fully health tested, titled, and temperament tested, puppies are dewormed, vaccinated/microchipped, raised with many aspects from puppy culture, AKC registered. The deposit is our non-refundable/holding fee to insure your hold on said puppy.”
Missy may provide a written contract or health guarantee when you purchase a puppy. This helps protect both you and your breeder, ensuring that you both have a clear understanding of the terms of your puppy purchase. If Missy offers a contract or guarantee, the details will be personalized by them. If you have any questions or want to know more, don’t hesitate to reach out to Missy directly.

About Cypress
Cypress is our keeper female from the A litter, a promising combination between Chiron and Larry. She is a well-built, athletic dog, weighing in at a solid 66 pounds and standing 23 inches tall. Confident, outgoing, and highly driven, Cypress embodies the qualities we strive to produce—balanced temperament, clarity of mind, and excellent social behavior with both people and dogs. She possesses an outstanding on/off switch, easily settling into a relaxed state at home while instantly switching gears when it’s time to work. Her drive is high, and we fully expect her offspring to inherit the same work ethic and intensity. Whether it’s obedience, scent work, or any other discipline, Cypress excels with enthusiasm and precision. Highly biddable and eager to please, she is an absolute joy to train. Cypress brings both power and partnership to everything she does, making her a truly exceptional working companion. Her sire is V1 Alfred av Stavanger IPO3 KKL1, 6x championship level competitor and her great dam SG Gjeter av Xazziam Schh3 KKL1 2008 high schooring female nw regonal! Vom Cosabar reports to performing the health tests below on their breeding dogs. Ask your breeder about the tests performed on the parents of your litter. Learn more about health testing for German Shepherds.
Hip Dysplasia
Hip testing reduces the chance of passing down hip dysplasia, which is primarily found in large breed dogs and can cause hip pain and the eventual loss of the function of the hip joint.
Elbow Dysplasia Finals (OFA, BVA, SV, FCI)
Elbow testing reduces the chance of passing down elbow dysplasia, which is primarily found in large breed dogs and can cause arthritis in the elbow joint and front leg lameness.
Temperament Test
A breeder may perform additional tests on their dogs that do not fall into these general categories. These tests may be more uncommon or very specific to a particular breed.
Full Embark Panel, Degenerative Myelopathy (DM; SOD1A)
Genetic testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide variety of hereditary diseases of differing prevalence and severity such as Progressive Retinal Atrophy (an eye disease) and Von Willebrand's Disease (a blood disease).
Health testing is one key piece of responsible breeding and is performed on breeding dogs to prevent the presence of heritable conditions in their puppies.
