Q. & A. with Anita
Why did you start breeding?
We wanted to raise our own dogs. We feel like when we raise our own dogs we are getting the temperament and pedigree we are looking for in a dog.
What makes your program special?
We are retired and devote our time with the mommy and babies. We live in the country and have our acreage Set up to work with the dogs. I love getting new puppies ready for new homes. I actually like starting potty training, play time, socialization, teaching them when to bite and not to bite, crate training, recalls and environmentals which also helps prepare the puppies to adjust to their new homes.
What are the different breed coat types in your program?
Our puppies have stock coats. Coat types may vary depending on the parent dogs.
What are the different breed coat colors in your program?
Our puppies are black and tan. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.
Where do your breeding dogs live?
They live in my home.

Working with Anita from Vom Curtis Haus was great! She was very helpful responded quickly and is really knowledgeable. She did a great job helping us pick a pup that fit best with out family! We’ve had Cleo for about two weeks and she’s perfect! Smart, adventurous, fearless and so sweet. She’s doing great with her training, and has doing really well with our other dogs and all the the different kinds of people that come in and out of our house.

Anita was amazing to work with. She asked about my family's needs and helped us get matched with a sweet puppy. It had been 20+ years since we had a puppy, and when we had some issues, Anita was happy to support and assist us. Our first visit to the vet, our vet confirmed that our puppy was healthy and well bred, and they were amazed and what a big strong puppy we had.
