I'm Heather and Garrett A., the breeder behind Vom Eisenwald GSD located in Woodland, WA. We breed German Shepherds with stable nerves, sound temperament, and correct structure, with a strong emphasis on what actually matters: genetics. The cornerstone of our program is simple. A dog can only become what its genetics allow. Training can shape behavior, but it cannot create nerve, stability, or sound temperament. Those traits must be inherited. Preserving them requires intentional breeding, which is why we prioritize pedigrees built on titled, proven dogs that have demonstrated these qualities, while carefully managing inbreeding coefficients to maintain genetic diversity, health, and long-term consistency. Our dogs are imported, health tested, and selected for what they truly are at their core, with a deliberate focus on what is inherited. That selection is not only seen on paper, but proven daily in real life, as they live and function within a home of six children, navigating constant activity, noise, and unpredictability with stability, patience, and clarity. Raised with daily exposure to young children and small animals, our puppies benefit from early, consistent exposure that builds on their genetic foundation, shaping the confidence, adaptability, and real world resilience they are built for. The result is a German Shepherd capable of thriving in active family homes, sport, or real world working roles, according to the strengths it was born with.

About Alaska
Alaska von Arlett is a German import from the prestigious Arlett breeding program, defined by strong nerve, sharp intelligence, and unmistakable presence, standing in a category most will only ever admire from a distance. As a direct daughter of the legendary Grimm della Valcuvia VA6 IGP3, she represents the upper echelon of German Shepherd genetics. Her pedigree is not just impressive, it is foundational. It is the product of generations of dogs that have defined and refined the German Shepherd Dog at the highest level. Alaska is an exceptionally intelligent and biddable female with a naturally stable temperament and a strong desire to work with her handler. She is incredibly quick to learn, eager to please, and thrives with clear structure and guidance. She has proven to be outstanding with children, gentle, patient, and trustworthy, while also maintaining excellent handler focus and responsiveness in public settings. Alaska is a true off switch on switch dog, calm and composed in the home, yet engaged and attentive when asked to work. Her medium drive makes her highly versatile, motivated, and responsive without being overwhelming, allowing her to adapt well to a variety of environments and expectations. Alaska presents as a very clean, easy dog to live with, with no notable vices or quirks. She has a healthy skin and coat, a strong and stable digestive system, and does not exhibit common issues such as car sickness or submissive urination. She handles new environments and everyday life with confidence and clarity. In public, Alaska consistently turns heads with her composure, focus, and willingness to stay engaged with her handler even around distractions. Her natural trainability and clarity make her a pleasure to live with and work with. She moves with a light, floating gait and expressive, animated presence, carrying herself with natural fluidity that makes her especially eye-catching in motion.

About Godric
Godric was imported from Von Bismack in Europe, a kennel known for producing dogs with true defensive ability and clear-headed strength, bred for real protection rather than sport alone. He is a watchful, naturally protective male with excellent discernment and a stable, balanced temperament. Godric is highly driven to please, quick to respond, and has excelled in advanced obedience. He demonstrates the ability to switch appropriately between intensity and control, remaining composed and thoughtful rather than reactive. Despite his protective nature, he is instinctively gentle with children and small animals, including poultry, showing a rare combination of strength and sensitivity. He is naturally reserved with strangers while remaining trustworthy and appropriate in family settings. Godric is a very clean, mentally sound dog with no notable vices or quirks. He shows no sensitivity to gunfire or fireworks, no car sickness, and no submissive urination. He handles new environments and pressure with confidence and clarity. Physically, Godric has a commanding presence. He is a large, powerful male who consistently draws attention and leaves a strong, lasting impression. His demeanor is calm, grounded, and self-assured. One of his most defining traits is his exceptional off switch. He is capable of relaxing quietly in the home, yet just as ready to engage in demanding activity, whether that be long hikes, structured work, or play. He is deeply bonded to his handler and naturally intuitive, showing an unusual ability to pick up on cues, words, and expectations without formal training. Godric represents the kind of balanced, clear-headed German Shepherd that many longtime enthusiasts recognize as true to the breed’s original purpose.
