All of our dogs are thoroughly health tested through the SV in Germany, have extensive pedigrees, and are titled in Schutzhund.

After buyers complete the application and screening process, Amanda partners with them to find the best puppy match.

Hip Dysplasia (rDVM, not registered), Hip Dysplasia
Hip testing reduces the chance of passing down hip dysplasia, which is primarily found in large breed dogs and can cause hip pain and the eventual loss of the function of the hip joint.
Elbow Dysplasia (rDVM, not registered), Elbow Dysplasia Finals (OFA, BVA, SV, FCI)
Elbow testing reduces the chance of passing down elbow dysplasia, which is primarily found in large breed dogs and can cause arthritis in the elbow joint and front leg lameness.
Temperament Test, Vet Wellness Exam
A breeder may perform additional tests on their dogs that do not fall into these general categories. These tests may be more uncommon or very specific to a particular breed.
Degenerative Myelopathy (DM; SOD1A)
Genetic testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide variety of hereditary diseases of differing prevalence and severity such as Progressive Retinal Atrophy (an eye disease) and Von Willebrand's Disease (a blood disease).

I truly could not be happier with my experience with Amanda and vom Großen Staat. From the beginning, Amanda was incredibly communicative, honest, and helpful. She took the time to answer all of my questions, kept me updated on Remi, and gave me a very accurate picture of her personality and temperament before she came home. ❤️ Remi came home confident, curious, social, and ready to take on the world. She is incredibly food motivated, eager to engage and learn, and already shows so much potential. It was obvious from the moment Remi came home that Amanda had put a lot of time and care into raising and socializing the litter. She had even started working with Remi on crate training before she came home, which made that transition so much easier for us. 💤 One thing I especially appreciated was that Amanda never made me feel like I was just purchasing a puppy. She genuinely cares about her dogs, the puppies she produces, and where they end up. She was wonderful about helping me figure out the logistics of bringing Remi home to Arizona and has continued to be available for questions even after Remi came home. 🚗 Most importantly, I absolutely adore this puppy. Remi is everything I hoped she would be and then some. She is confident, smart, hilarious, affectionate, and has quickly become my little shadow. I’m so excited to see what she grows into and where training takes us. 🏅 I would absolutely recommend Amanda and vom Großen Staat to anyone looking for a well-raised German Shepherd from a breeder who genuinely cares about her puppies and the families they go home to.
