I'm Jana G., the breeder behind Vom Haus Neufus located in Johnstown, OH. We are a small hobby exhibitor devoted to promoting Long Coated German Shepherd Dogs that conform to breed standards, both physically and in temperament. Our puppies are lovingly raised in our home as part of our family so that we can prepare them to be wonderful additions to yours. Our dogs work hard, play hard, love hard, and are part of the family. We prepare all of our pups to excel in life.

Why did you start breeding?
I had my own German Shepherd and fell in love with the breed. I wanted to do my part as a responsible breeder and produce healthy, well-rounded pups. It is such an honor to preserve the line of these incredible dogs all the while creating companionship for others.What makes your program special?
My dogs are bred to produce healthy, sound, and versatile pups. My ultimate goal is to produce athletic and well-structured canines that can excel within various performance venues and have the ability to be the greatest family companions. I am dedicated to always having responsible policies when it comes to breeding, socializing, and training my pups. I love what I do and truly want the very best for my puppies and their forever families.Where do your breeding dogs live?

Hip Dysplasia
Hip testing reduces the chance of passing down hip dysplasia, which is primarily found in large breed dogs and can cause hip pain and the eventual loss of the function of the hip joint.
Elbow Dysplasia Finals (OFA, BVA, SV, FCI)
Elbow testing reduces the chance of passing down elbow dysplasia, which is primarily found in large breed dogs and can cause arthritis in the elbow joint and front leg lameness.
Hock Osteochondrosis Dissecans (OCD)
A breeder may perform additional tests on their dogs that do not fall into these general categories. These tests may be more uncommon or very specific to a particular breed.
Multiple Drug Sensitivity (MDR1), Degenerative Myelopathy (DM; SOD1A)
Genetic testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide variety of hereditary diseases of differing prevalence and severity such as Progressive Retinal Atrophy (an eye disease) and Von Willebrand's Disease (a blood disease).
