I'm Michelle E., the breeder behind Vom Haus Panzer located in Roaming Shores, OH. I specialize in long coat German Shepherds. I breed with the purpose to produce a puppy that will help maintain the breed. I carefully choose the sire and dam in order to produce the best quality possible. I strive to make sure every owner has the ability to get the very best out of their puppy.
Q. & A. with Michelle
Why did you start breeding?
It is something I have always wanted since owning my 1st GSD in elementary. When my children grew up, I decided the time was then. I've been pursuing it ever since.
What makes your program special?
I don't know if it's "special." I believe I am trying to be the best and most responsible breeder I can be. I don't kennel my dogs, they live in the home with me and I whelp and keep the pups in my home as well. I believe it is a family affair. And I have kept a close relationship with all the families of my pups.
Where do your breeding dogs live?
They live in my home.

Breeder-Reported Testing
Great level
Vom Haus Panzer reports to performing the health tests below on their breeding dogs. Ask your breeder about the tests performed on the parents of your litter. Learn more about health testing for German Shepherds.
Hip Dysplasia
Hip testing reduces the chance of passing down hip dysplasia, which is primarily found in large breed dogs and can cause hip pain and the eventual loss of the function of the hip joint.
Elbow Dysplasia Finals (OFA, BVA, SV, FCI)
Elbow testing reduces the chance of passing down elbow dysplasia, which is primarily found in large breed dogs and can cause arthritis in the elbow joint and front leg lameness.
Brucellosis, Canine Good Citizen (CGC)
A breeder may perform additional tests on their dogs that do not fall into these general categories. These tests may be more uncommon or very specific to a particular breed.
Degenerative Myelopathy (DM; SOD1A)
Genetic testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide variety of hereditary diseases of differing prevalence and severity such as Progressive Retinal Atrophy (an eye disease) and Von Willebrand's Disease (a blood disease).
