Q. & A. with Nicholas

  • Why did you start breeding?

I got into breeding due to my infatuation with german shepherds. My oldest german shepherd is 13 years old & she made me fall in love with GSD’s. I had contacted some top kennels in Germany and we were talking for awhile and i eventually started buying dogs, and over time i started adding to the family. Now i am able to have my own litters of top quality puppies who’s parents are very well known.

All dogs are AKC Registered ! My dogs are my family, My life, My whole world 🌎!

  • Hip Dysplasia

Hip testing reduces the chance of passing down hip dysplasia, which is primarily found in large breed dogs and can cause hip pain and the eventual loss of the function of the hip joint.

  • Elbow Dysplasia Finals (OFA, BVA, SV, FCI)

Elbow testing reduces the chance of passing down elbow dysplasia, which is primarily found in large breed dogs and can cause arthritis in the elbow joint and front leg lameness.

  • Temperament Test

A breeder may perform additional tests on their dogs that do not fall into these general categories. These tests may be more uncommon or very specific to a particular breed.

  • DNA Disease Panel, Degenerative Myelopathy (DM; SOD1A)

Genetic testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide variety of hereditary diseases of differing prevalence and severity such as Progressive Retinal Atrophy (an eye disease) and Von Willebrand's Disease (a blood disease).
