I'm Melissa M., the breeder behind Vom MontHaus located in Tamiami, FL. We are a small, hobby breeding program. We breed for temperament, drive, and soundness. We love sharing our life with our pups! Our puppies are lovingly raised in our home as part of our family so that we can prepare them to be wonderful additions to yours.

Why did you start breeding?
I started with sports training. I would now like to produce puppies for others to have the chance to create that bond with their dogs while training and having a fun time.What makes your program special?
We do not over-breed. Every dog must be health tested and titled before we breed them. Our puppies will be placed in selected homes with a 2-year health contract.What are the different breed coat types in your program?
Our puppies include stock and plush coat varieties. Coat types may vary depending on the parent dogs.What are the different breed coat colors in your program?
Our puppies include sable, black, bi-color, and black and tan. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.Where do your breeding dogs live?

Parent health testing

Hip Dysplasia
Hip testing reduces the chance of passing down hip dysplasia, which is primarily found in large breed dogs and can cause hip pain and the eventual loss of the function of the hip joint.
Elbow Dysplasia Finals (OFA, BVA, SV, FCI)
Elbow testing reduces the chance of passing down elbow dysplasia, which is primarily found in large breed dogs and can cause arthritis in the elbow joint and front leg lameness.
Temperament Test
A breeder may perform additional tests on their dogs that do not fall into these general categories. These tests may be more uncommon or very specific to a particular breed.
Degenerative Myelopathy (DM; SOD1A)
Genetic testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide variety of hereditary diseases of differing prevalence and severity such as Progressive Retinal Atrophy (an eye disease) and Von Willebrand's Disease (a blood disease).
