I'm Erica M., the breeder behind Vom Morris Haus German Shepherds located in Dexter, MO. Our dogs are breed from top pedigrees mostly Czech and West German working lines. All breeding dogs are fully health tested including hip/elbows, DM, and MDR1. Health and temperament are most important to us here at VMS and looks we consider a bonus. Most puppies do well in active family homes and sport homes.

  • Why did you start breeding?

    I got into breeding after I bought my first imported German Shepherd and realized I wanted to be an advocate for this breed as I truly believe they are the best family dogs and sport dogs.

  • What makes your program special?

    I believe our breeding program is special due to I am a hands-on breeder. I check on all past pups, breed for correct temperament and health. I strive to make families happy. We also offer a 26 month hip guarantee.

  • What are the different breed coat types in your program?

    Our puppies include stock and long coat varieties. Coat types may vary depending on the parent dogs.

  • What are the different breed coat colors in your program?

    Our puppies include sable, black, bi-color, and black and red. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.

  • Where do your breeding dogs live?

    They live in my home and a kennel on my property.

Getting a puppy from Erica

After buyers complete the application and screening process, Erica partners with them to find the best puppy match.

Price

Puppy prices include a $500 deposit and between $1,000 - $2,000 final payment, before taxes & fees.

  • Hip Dysplasia

    Hip testing reduces the chance of passing down hip dysplasia, which is primarily found in large breed dogs and can cause hip pain and the eventual loss of the function of the hip joint.

  • Elbow Dysplasia Finals (OFA, BVA, SV, FCI)

    Elbow testing reduces the chance of passing down elbow dysplasia, which is primarily found in large breed dogs and can cause arthritis in the elbow joint and front leg lameness.

  • Multiple Drug Sensitivity (MDR1), Degenerative Myelopathy (DM; SOD1A)
