Meet the breeder

I'm Deborah B., the breeder behind Vom Schönen Hera German Shepherds located in Cloverdale, AL. We focus on improving the breed. We breed for exceptional temperament and health. It is an absolute joy to see these babies thrive and become well adjusted happy doggos.

Q. & A. with Deborah

  • Why did you start breeding?

It's been a life long love of the breed and wanting to share them with others.
  • What makes your program special?

We only have 2 litters a year, so we can focus on raising well-adjusted, happy, healthy pups. We desensitize our pups and expose them to things like thunder and fireworks, etc. We spend 24 hours a day with our babies. We do not let our pups go to their furrever homes until they are seen twice by our vet and have had 2 sets of vaccinations so they have the best start possible.
  • What are the different breed coat types in your program?

Our puppies include stock, plush, and long coat varieties. Coat types may vary depending on the parent dogs.
  • What are the different breed coat colors in your program?

Our puppies are black and red. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.
  • Where do your breeding dogs live?

    They live in my home.
