I'm Dejan V., the breeder behind Vom Vrban Haus located in Bowling Green, Ky, KY. We work hard to produce well-rounded German Shepherds with the potential to be solid show prospects and excellent family pets. We give our puppies the best start possible so they’re set up to succeed as well-socialized, trainable, and wonderful additions to any family.
Q. & A. with Dejan
Why did you start breeding?
l got my first dog in 2006. Zeke vom Eichen Hugel....but I called him Medo (means bear in Serbo-Croatian) and bear he was at times. The other times he was a jackass. In my search for a trainer, I found a Schutzhund club where I got hooked on competing with Medo and ended up getting my foundation bitch - Whiski von Schneiden Fels . The rest is history
What makes your program special?
What makes my breeding program special?
Absolutely nothing special nor should it be. There's a breed standard for a reason and everyone should try to follow it and breed accordingly.
Every breeder will have their twist on this, but the standard must come first.
I concentrate on overall firmness, and harmony in structure first as well as a harmony in the drives. Nothing extreme
What are the different breed coat colors in your program?
Our puppies are black and red. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.
Where do your breeding dogs live?
They live in my home.
