Getting a puppy from Dawn

Dawn has been certified by Good Dog’s screening team for responsible and trusted breeding practices. When you’re ready, reach out to ask about the puppies or anything else on your mind. You’ll get to know each other through messaging, phone, or video and pay securely, all on Good Dog.

Dawn partners with buyers to find the best match as the puppies develop and their personalities take shape. Typically, matches are finalized when the puppies reach about 6 weeks old.

“We do not do reservations on specific puppies until they are 6 weeks. This gives us a chance to start to see differences both physical and temperament. This is done in the order that deposits are taken. People close enough are invited to visit at 6 weeks to make this choice. If you are not close enough then we provide pictures/videos as well as feedback about what traits we are seeing. We do not assign a puppy to you but work with you to find the best fit. If at 6 weeks it is decided that the litter did not produce the right match for you than deposit can be transferred to a future litter. ”

Price

Puppy prices include a $500 non-refundable deposit and between $1,500 - $1,900 final payment, before taxes & fees.
Pay over time with Klarna.

“Puppy prices listed are for "pet price". This is for families that plan to spay/neuter when age appropriate. Once puppies are born we begin the process of accepting deposits/holding fee to reserve a puppy from the litter. Deposit is $500 and is non-refundable. However, if the litter does not a produce the right match for you than it can be transferred to a future litter. There is a contract we need to have signed prior to placing a deposit.”

Contract & health guarantee

Dawn may provide a written contract or health guarantee when you purchase a puppy. This helps protect both you and your breeder, ensuring that you both have a clear understanding of the terms of your puppy purchase. If Dawn offers a contract or guarantee, the details will be personalized by them. If you have any questions or want to know more, don't hesitate to reach out to Dawn directly.

Dawn was great! She was very responsive to my messages and any questions I had. I told her a little about my self and what I hoped me and my puppy could do together. I really want to do obedience classes and rally with my dog in the future. She was able to help me pick a puppy in the litter she thought would be the best fit. We picked up Maude and Dawn was great giving me things for her like food treats toy and a blanket and spent time talking to me about her and her other dogs. Maude is a great puppy, very smart and loves to play. Im really happy to have added her to our family! Dawn even checked in a few times to see how she was doing which I thought was really nice. She really cares about her dogs and puppy's I'm glad I chose her as my breeder.

Dawn was great to work with. My grandson and I picked up girl 2, now named Fraulein on 1/19/26. I liked that Dawn wanted to know a little bit about me and talk about what I should expect before accepting the deposit. Fraulein is potty trained, does stairs just fine although not to graceful, loves being outside the big snow we had.

Down was incredibly patient in answering each of our questions, and she was also very responsible when it came to the puppy. This was our first time using this platform to make a purchase, and it turned out to be a wonderful experience. We’re truly grateful to Down for bringing a new member into our family. The pup is both adorable and handsome.

I recently brought home a German Shepherd puppy from Dawn at Vom Wilke Kennels, and I couldnt be more impressed with the entire experience. From the first conversation, Dawn was knowledgeable, transparent and clearly passionate about her dogs. She took the time to answer all my questions and provided regular updates throughout the process, including photos and progress reports on the litter. My puppy Ragnar arrived healthy, confident, and extremely well socialized-- a true testament to quality of her breeding program and the time and care she invests in her litters. His temperament is exactly what I was looking for. The paperwork was thorough, and Dawn even sent me home with some food for him! If your looking for a responsible breeder who truly stands behind her dogs, I highly recommend Dawn at Vom Wilke Kennels. Im beyond happy with my new companion.
