Meet the breeder

I'm Alanna C., the breeder behind Von Den Mächtigen Kennels located in Beryl, UT. Von Den Mächtigen produces health tested German Shepherds & Belgian Malinois bred for stable temperaments, strong drives, and true workability. Puppies are raised on our ranch with early socialization, environmental exposure, and foundational development.

Q. & A. with Alanna

  • Why did you start breeding?

My journey into breeding started with a passion for working dogs and a desire to do things responsibly and ethically. I’ve been fortunate to learn from respected mentors, trainers, and breeders while continuing my education through hands-on training, sport work, and real world experience. My philosophy centers on health, temperament, and functional working ability.
  • What makes your program special?

Located on our 80 acre Southern Utah ranch, our puppies are raised using ENS, ESI, Puppy Culture, and Avidog protocols with extensive socialization, environmental exposure, and confidence building. Breeding dogs undergo extensive health testing including OFA, SV, and DNA testing. We prioritize stable, versatile dogs backed by lifelong breeder support.
  • What are the different breed coat types in your program?

German Shepherd puppies include stock and long coat varieties. Coat types may vary depending on the parent dogs.
  • What are the different breed coat colors in your program?

Our Belgian Malinois puppies include red, red sable, mahogany, and fawn. German Shepherd puppies include sable, black, black and tan, bi-color, and black and red. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.
  • Where do your breeding dogs live?

They live in my home and a kennel on my property.
