Meet the breeder

I'm Brennan T., the breeder behind Von der Hausrevolution located in Zachary, LA. Our pups are bred to meet the highest standard with health and workability as the main focus. They’re ideal for an active home looking for a home protector, sport dog or loyal companion. All of our dogs are sourced from Germany, Czechia or Slovakia and have at least one working title.

Q. & A. with Brennan

  • Why did you start breeding?

In 2021, we purchased our first titled import and fell in love with the breed and training. From that point forward, it was our goal to carry on and improve the genetics to suitable homes.
  • What makes your program special?

We’re a small breeding program with the sole focus of improving the German Shepherd bloodline in the USA. All of our breedings are with proven, health tested imports. We only have 1 litter a year to ensure both our dam and the pups are at peak condition.
  • What are the different breed coat types in your program?

Our puppies include long and stock coat varieties. Coat types may vary depending on the parent dogs.
  • What are the different breed coat colors in your program?

Our puppies include sable and black. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.
  • Where do your breeding dogs live?

    They live in my home.

Breeder-Reported Testing

Excellent level

Von der Hausrevolution reports to performing the health tests below on their breeding dogs. Ask your breeder about the tests performed on the parents of your litter. Learn more about health testing for German Shepherds.

  • Hip Dysplasia

Hip testing reduces the chance of passing down hip dysplasia, which is primarily found in large breed dogs and can cause hip pain and the eventual loss of the function of the hip joint.

  • Elbow Dysplasia Finals (OFA, BVA, SV, FCI)

Elbow testing reduces the chance of passing down elbow dysplasia, which is primarily found in large breed dogs and can cause arthritis in the elbow joint and front leg lameness.

  • Temperament Test, Vet Wellness Exam

A breeder may perform additional tests on their dogs that do not fall into these general categories. These tests may be more uncommon or very specific to a particular breed.

  • Degenerative Myelopathy (DM; SOD1A)

Genetic testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide variety of hereditary diseases of differing prevalence and severity such as Progressive Retinal Atrophy (an eye disease) and Von Willebrand's Disease (a blood disease).
