I'm Kaylee P., the breeder behind Von Haus Morgensturm located in Statesville, NC. Our dogs are bred for health, temperament, and intelligence. We strive to produce the best representations of the breed. We treasure each puppy in our program and give them all the attention and care that we possibly can. We work hard so our puppies can leave our home with confidence, ready to take on the world with their new family!

  • Why did you start breeding?

    I bought my first German Shepherd in 2020, and that girl has been my heart and soul ever since. She will be 13 in September and I owe that girl the entire world. Leanna made me fall in love with this breed, and was the beginning of many years to come.

  • What makes your program special?

    Not only do I provide lifetime support for my puppy homes, but I truly want to be there for each and every puppy for the entirety of their life. I offer a 3 year genetic health guarantee, I help problem solve if anything arises, I help owners get in to conformation to enjoy something new with their dog. I take the health and temperament of each puppy produced very seriously.

  • What are the different breed coat types in your program?

    Our puppies include stock and long coat varieties. Coat types may vary depending on the parent dogs.

  • What are the different breed coat colors in your program?

    Our puppies include sable, black, and black and red. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.

  • Where do your breeding dogs live?

    They live in my home.

Getting a puppy from Kaylee

Kaylee has been certified by Good Dog’s screening team for responsible and trusted breeding practices. When you’re ready, reach out to ask about the puppies or anything else on your mind. You’ll get to know each other through messaging, phone, or video and pay securely, all on Good Dog.

Kaylee partners with buyers to find the best match as the puppies develop and their personalities take shape. Typically, matches are finalized when the puppies reach about 7 weeks old.

“Puppies are evaluated based on drive (food, toy, prey). After careful screening, puppies are matched with families based on each individual family and puppy’s needs and goals. We never want to place a high drive puppy that needs constant stimulation with a family that’s looking for a laid back companion. This is neither good for the family or the puppy. ”

Price

Puppy prices include a $500 non-refundable deposit and between $2,000 - $3,000 final payment, before taxes & fees.

“Puppy prices differ from litter to litter and are dependent on parents and achievements made. Deposits are non-refundable, but they are transferable.”

Contract & health guarantee

Kaylee may provide a written contract or health guarantee when you purchase a puppy. This helps protect both you and your breeder, ensuring that you both have a clear understanding of the terms of your puppy purchase.   • Hip Dysplasia (Preliminary), Hip Dysplasia

    Hip testing reduces the chance of passing down hip dysplasia, which is primarily found in large breed dogs and can cause hip pain and the eventual loss of the function of the hip joint.

  • Elbow Dysplasia Finals (OFA, BVA, SV, FCI)

    Elbow testing reduces the chance of passing down elbow dysplasia, which is primarily found in large breed dogs and can cause arthritis in the elbow joint and front leg lameness.

  • Temperament Test

    A breeder may perform additional tests on their dogs that do not fall into these general categories. These tests may be more uncommon or very specific to a particular breed.

  • Degenerative Myelopathy (DM; SOD1A)

    Genetic testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide variety of hereditary diseases of differing prevalence and severity such as Progressive Retinal Atrophy (an eye disease) and Von Willebrand's Disease (a blood disease).
