I'm Andrew M., the breeder behind Von Jagenstadt German Shepherds located in Boca Raton, FL. We are dedicated to producing the total German Shepherd Dog and have been active with the importing, titling, showing and breeding of top-quality German Shepherd Dogs since 1989. Our dogs and puppies live in our home, not in kennels and are cherished family members. We take pride in breeding top quality German Shepherd puppies to the standard that are healthy in both mind and body and free of genetic disease.

  • Why did you start breeding?

    I owned a German Shepherd as a child and that began my love for the breed.
  • What makes your program special?

    I have nearly 40 years of experience with breeding, training, titling, showing and importing German Shepherds, I always have a hands-on approach with everything concerning my dogs and puppies. All my dogs and puppies are cherished family members and live in our house.
  • What are the different breed coat types in your program?

    Our puppies have plush coats. Coat types may vary depending on the parent dogs.
  • What are the different breed coat colors in your program?

    Our puppies are black and red. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.
  • Where do your breeding dogs live?

    They live in my home.

Getting a puppy from Andrew

Andrew has been certified by Good Dog’s screening team for responsible and trusted breeding practices. When you’re ready to reach out, feel free to ask any questions about the breed, their program, or specific puppies.

Price

Puppy prices include a $500 refundable deposit and $2,000 final payment, before taxes & fees.

“Puppies Must be Paid in Full Before Leaving for Their New Homes. We accept the following forms of payment; Cash, Certified Bank Check, Zelle We Do Not Accept Credit Cards. Deposits are refundable should we not have a puppy that fits your request and can also be applied to one of our future litters.”

This helps protect both you and your breeder, ensuring that you both have a clear understanding of the terms of your puppy purchase.   • Hip Dysplasia

    Hip testing reduces the chance of passing down hip dysplasia, which is primarily found in large breed dogs and can cause hip pain and the eventual loss of the function of the hip joint.

  • Elbow Dysplasia Finals (OFA, BVA, SV, FCI)

    Elbow testing reduces the chance of passing down elbow dysplasia, which is primarily found in large breed dogs and can cause arthritis in the elbow joint and front leg lameness.

  • Brucellosis, Dentition

    A breeder may perform additional tests on their dogs that do not fall into these general categories. These tests may be more uncommon or very specific to a particular breed.

  • DNA Profile, Degenerative Myelopathy (DM; SOD1A)

    Genetic testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide variety of hereditary diseases of differing prevalence and severity such as Progressive Retinal Atrophy (an eye disease) and Von Willebrand's Disease (a blood disease).
