I'm Sandra P., the breeder behind Von Pasch German Shepherds located in Valley Springs, SD. Having dogs in our lives is such a blessing. We find so much fulfillment in providing that same companionship to other homes! We cherish each of our dogs and puppies, and we do everything we can to make sure that they get the best lives possible. That includes everything from choosing healthy parents with good temperaments, to proper socialization and daily care, to placing them in loving homes with wonderful families. We strive to provide each of our puppies and their families with a truly positive experience!

Why did you start breeding?
I used to breed labs years ago and then moved and had to get out of it. I really missed the whole process, so when I fell in love with my first long coat German Shepherd, I decided to get into breeding on a fairly small level. I will never be huge - as my idea is to do it small, and do it well.What makes your program special?
I put a ton of love and care in raising my puppies. You will never find anyone that spends more time in the whelping box than I do! I also have an older son that helps me a lot, and he is somewhat obsessed with the puppies as well! We work opposite times, so between the two of us, we spend a LOT of time with them, socializing them, getting them used to different noises, surfaces, etc. I do a little crate training/potty training at the end - before they go to their new homes.What are the different breed coat types in your program?

Our puppies include sable, black, black and red, and white. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.Where do your breeding dogs live?

Getting a puppy from Sandra
Sandra has been certified by Good Dog’s screening team for responsible and trusted breeding practices. When you’re ready, reach out to ask about the puppies or anything else on your mind. You’ll get to know each other through messaging, phone, or video and pay securely, all on Good Dog.
Sandra partners with buyers to find the best match as the puppies develop and their personalities take shape. Typically, matches are finalized when the puppies reach about 6 weeks old.
“I allow people to pick their puppies at the age of 6 weeks. This is done in the order that the deposits are placed. I update pictures and videos as we go. If you live far away and you have an iPhone, Face timing is a great tool to actually see the puppies, and how they interact. Otherwise, I can do multiple videos. If you live close enough and can come pick yours out in person, great!”
Price
“The base price is for pet/limited registration. It would be an additional $500 for breeding/full registration. The full registration is for the majority of my puppies (All litters except the Uri/Jazzy litters - as Uri is AKC registered, but Jazzy is a Berger Blanc Suisse. Both however, are White Swiss Shepherds.) The price includes deworming every two weeks from date of birth, and their 8 week shot, and microchip. (Sometimes I don't in bigger litters, unless buyer requests it.) Puppies will have their nails trimmed bi-weekly (so at least 3 times!), have at least 3 baths, and have sensitivity training to different noises including thunderstorms, fireworks, and nail guns. They will be exposed to various other noises as well. They will also have experience with different surfaces, obstacles, hanging swing, etc. I love spending time with my puppies and exposing them to as much as I can! It is a non-refundable deposit. However, if for some reason you change your mind and decide to wait for a future litter, or a life altering event happens, the deposit can be transferred to another litter so that you do not lose that amount.”

About Breyer
Breyer is clear of over 250 diseases on her Embark test. Her OFA hip rating was “Good” on both her prelims, and final x-rays. Her hips were normal on both as well. Breyer is the sweetest dog ever! She is calm, quiet, and loves people. She does not change her personality when people come over, even if she doesn’t know them. She WILL bark a few times to alert to a stranger, but once I tell her it’s ok, she resumes her gentle, quiet personality. She is gorgeous as well! On the Faceb**k White Swiss Shepherd page, she was the May winner two years ago, and they put the photo back upon their cover page several times after. Breyer gets along well with other dogs, and has ALWAYS loved all of the previous litters I’ve had with my other females.

Uri is the most low maintenance male ever! He is so sweet, never jumps on people and always seems to be aware of his big size! He has a beautiful thick coat and great conformation! He gets along with all of my other dogs and doesn't even seem to be bothered by other males. When he breeds a female, he seems gentle and careful! He is such a joy to have! Uri has been Embark tested, is DM clear, and is AKC registered.

Bell is a very pretty red/black long coat. She has a sweet temperament and adjusted quickly after making her trip from Serbia, to our home. She is a good dog and lets me do whatever I need to with her puppies, This is her second litter and she delivers effortlessly! Bell is well-behaved and takes wonderful care of her puppies! Bell is a DM Carrier/non-affected. This does not affect anything unless you are purchasing a puppy for breeding purposes, and then you would just want to make sure you breed her to a DM Clear male. Bell was clear on all of the other health issues that Embark tests for!

Jazzy is a very nice female. She gets along well with all of my other dogs and has a sweet disposition. Jazzy was my hero and just did amazing with her two prior litters! She let me help and do whatever I needed to do and wasn't bothered by anything. She was such a natural! She has been the best mama ever and takes extremely good care of her babies! These puppies were the calmest, sweetest, things in the world! I have gotten so many updates verifying that as they grow up as well! I can't wait to have this next litter with Uri and Jazzy! Jazzy is FCI registered, and although I was told when I bought her that I would be able to switch her over to AKC, I was not able to do that. However, when getting a puppy as a pet, with no intentions of breeding in the future, that is not an issue at all. Jazzy has good hips/normal elbows, and is DM clear.

Everest (Evy) is the most low-maintenance male I've ever seen! He has an amazing temperament and LOVES people. He is a gorgeous VERY red/black color and has a beautiful coat. Evy has good hips/normal elbows. He is DM clear, MDR1, VWDI, and HU clear. He has the funniest personality - and you've never seen a dog enjoy a Jolly Ball like he does!! Evy is AKC registered.

Inde' is a beautiful soul! She is very sweet, and very loving; she has good recall, and minds well. She has a beautiful black sleek coat! She gets along with all of my other big shepherds and is absolutely, hands down, the best mother of them all! Inde' is low-medium drive. Inde' is my only one that throws more than one color puppy, as she has blacks, and black/red puppies. She is healthy and of course DM clear. She has "Good" hips, and "Normal Elbows." Inde' is AKC registered.

Hip Dysplasia
Hip testing reduces the chance of passing down hip dysplasia, which is primarily found in large breed dogs and can cause hip pain and the eventual loss of the function of the hip joint.
Elbow Dysplasia Finals (OFA, BVA, SV, FCI)
Elbow testing reduces the chance of passing down elbow dysplasia, which is primarily found in large breed dogs and can cause arthritis in the elbow joint and front leg lameness.
Temperament Test
A breeder may perform additional tests on their dogs that do not fall into these general categories. These tests may be more uncommon or very specific to a particular breed.
Degenerative Myelopathy (DM; SOD1A)
Genetic testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide variety of hereditary diseases of differing prevalence and severity such as Progressive Retinal Atrophy (an eye disease) and Von Willebrand's Disease (a blood disease).

+4Sandra was excellent to work with. I contacted her initially and she clearly explained the process, which can be a little daunting, I had never done this. She also responded quickly to my questions, usually within the same day. I was grateful because she sent pictures and videos when I asked. We did a video call when it was my turn to pick my puppy. We met in Omaha for the pick up, which went smooth and on time. What I really like, is I got the dog she described. For example, there are high energy shepherds and chill shepherds. I wanted a chill one. My dog’s specific parents she noted about being very relaxed, and for a puppy, that’s exactly how mine is. Of course every dog is different, but I got exactly what I wanted and what she described. Chewy was happy and healthy when I got him, and he is happy and healthy today after more than 2 months. I would absolutely buy another Shepherd from Sandra in the future and just may. I highly recommend.

+5My partner and I had been looking for a great German Shepherd breeder for a while but were having such a hard time choosing. As soon as we found Sandra’s profile, we just knew we wanted to get a puppy from her. We waited about six months from putting down our deposit to bringing our puppy home, and it was so worth the wait. We definitely came in with a million questions and were probably a little picky about temperament, but Sandra was incredibly patient through all of it. She took the time to explain things, kept us updated, and made the whole process feel really comfortable and exciting. It was obvious how much she cares for and loves her dogs. We ended up with the most beautiful puppy who truly feels perfect for us. Our puppy (who we named Juniper) already knew how to sit and was pretty much potty trained when she came home. She has had a couple of accidents, but honestly that was on us for not fully understanding what she was trying to communicate yet. She is SO smart and genuinely loves being trained and learning new things. Juniper is everything we hoped for and more, and you could clearly see how loved she was before she even came home with us. If we ever decide to get another dog, we will absolutely be coming back to Sandra.
