I'm Angel R., the breeder behind Von Richardson Elite German Shepherds located in Deer Park, AL. We take pride in making sure you take home an outstanding puppy of your dreams. Our German Shepherds are capable of police or military training such as: protection, rescue, and narcotics search. They also make great family pets, protection, and Service Dogs, and they can do so much more.

  • Why did you start breeding?

    I have loved and owned German Shepherds my entire life. But it wasn't until 2018 when I was diagnosed with cancer that I got my two beloved German Shepherd puppies, my Nyssa and Jazzy. I loved them so much. Two years later I got my male German Shepherd my "Koda Bear" and I started breeding after that and have been ever since.

  • What makes your program special?

    We love all of our dogs and puppies just like family, because to us they are family. We make sure that they have the absolute best care that they could ever have. We are careful when selecting new dogs to add to our program so that we can be sure that they will produce the best puppies for you and your home.

  • What are the different breed coat types in your program?

    Our puppies include plush, stock, and long coat varieties. Coat types may vary depending on the parent dogs.

  • What are the different breed coat colors in your program?

    Our puppies include sable, black, black and tan, black and red, and bi-color. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.

  • Where do your breeding dogs live?

    They live in my home.

Puppy prices include a $750 non-refundable deposit and between $1,750 - $4,750 final payment, before taxes & fees.

“The price includes the health guarantee and contract, AKC registration, vaccines, deworming, and puppy socialization. The $2500 price is for pet price. This deposit guarantees a hold on the puppy you want.”

  • Hip Dysplasia

    Hip testing reduces the chance of passing down hip dysplasia, which is primarily found in large breed dogs and can cause hip pain and the eventual loss of the function of the hip joint.

  • Elbow Dysplasia Finals (OFA, BVA, SV, FCI)

    Elbow testing reduces the chance of passing down elbow dysplasia, which is primarily found in large breed dogs and can cause arthritis in the elbow joint and front leg lameness.

  • Degenerative Myelopathy (DM; SOD1A)

    Genetic testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide variety of hereditary diseases of differing prevalence and severity such as Progressive Retinal Atrophy (an eye disease) and Von Willebrand's Disease (a blood disease).

    Once I decided on a GSD puppy I went to the AKC certified breeders page and started researching breeders. I found four breeders within a 500 mile. After reviewing the Dams and Sires, the pedigree family tree, and working/show lines I kept going back to Von Richardson Elite German Shepherds. I reached out to Angel with some questions and received a quick response. After some more communications, reading reviews, and scouring her website I decided to make a deposit on a litter. Continued communication and pictures, discussing which puppy would be the best fit for my needs, and the puppies being cleared by the Vet to receive visitors I went out and visited with Angel and the puppies. Once arriving on site, I could tell that Angel took great care with the wellbeing of the puppies; they were part of the family along with the Sire and Dam. Using Angel's recommendation and what I saw in the puppy I decided to adopt from the available litter. The puppy is bright, intelligent, bold, well built, and eager to learn and please. The puppy is learning quickly, and I could not be happier with my decision.

    Von Richardson Elite German Shepherds served us very well in our search for the latest edition to our family. Our boy Remy has been the best dog and we have loved his companionship. We knew by our interaction with Angel and her family how well all of the puppies are taken care of.
