Why did you start breeding?
My journey into German Shepherd breeding started with a tough experience. I purchased a German Shepherd who faced serious health and temperament issues, and what should have been a joyful bond turned into a struggle. As I researched pedigrees, structure, and temperament, I realized how vital responsible breeding is to preserve the integrity of this incredible breed. That experience inspired me to become the breeder I wish I had found. My goal is to produce German Shepherds with sound health, correct structure, and steady temperaments—dogs that are not only capable and intelligent but also loving family companions. Every pairing I choose is made with the intent to improve the breed and honor its true purpose. Above all, I want families to experience the joy of owning a well-bred German Shepherd, without the hardships I once faced.What makes your program special?
Our breeding program is built on purpose, not trends. We focus on health, structure, and temperament to produce German Shepherds that are true to the breed standard—intelligent, loyal, and versatile, yet also loving family companions. All of our dogs are carefully selected for sound anatomy and stable temperaments, and our puppies are raised in a family environment where they are socialized with children and everyday life. This foundation helps them grow into confident, well-rounded dogs. Hip Dysplasia
Hip testing reduces the chance of passing down hip dysplasia, which is primarily found in large breed dogs and can cause hip pain and the eventual loss of the function of the hip joint.
Elbow Dysplasia Finals (OFA, BVA, SV, FCI)
Elbow testing reduces the chance of passing down elbow dysplasia, which is primarily found in large breed dogs and can cause arthritis in the elbow joint and front leg lameness.
Eye Examination (rDVM, not registered with OFA)
Eye testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide range of hereditary eye illnesses including retinal dysplasia, lens luxation, and glaucoma, which can cause impared vision or blindness.
Cardiac Evaluation (rDVM, not registered with OFA)
Heart testing reduces the chance of passing down congenital heart disease, which can cause a range of symptoms ranging from trouble exercising to heart failure.
Temperament Test
A breeder may perform additional tests on their dogs that do not fall into these general categories. These tests may be more uncommon or very specific to a particular breed.
DNA Disease Panel, Degenerative Myelopathy (DM; SOD1A)
Genetic testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide variety of hereditary diseases of differing prevalence and severity such as Progressive Retinal Atrophy (an eye disease) and Von Willebrand's Disease (a blood disease).
