At Waldo German Shepherds Dogs, we specialize in the finest AKC registered German Shepherds out of titled, health tested, German import bloodlines. We breed for temperament, intelligence, conformation, and sound hips and elbows. We do the superdog program with all of our puppies! Ask us about it!

Why did you start breeding?
We have been breeding dogs since 1992. We have fallen in love with this breed of dog and cannot imagine having a home without a German Shepherd Dog.What makes your program special?
It is our sincere hope and desire that each dog we place is a great match with their new home. Because of this, we may not allow prospective buyers to choose whichever puppy catches their eye. We will assessment test each puppy in an effort to best match each puppy with it's new owner. Our priority is for you be extremely satisfied with the puppy you take home, and have you be it's furever home.What are the different breed coat colors in your program?
Our puppies include black and tan and black and red. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.Where do your breeding dogs live?

“Your non-refundable deposit will reserve you a place on our waiting list. PLEASE DO NOT place a deposit prior to approval from us. Our dogs are not a great fit for every home. A deposit is required to reserve a puppy. This deposit is applied toward the total purchase price of your puppy.”

Iko was born in Germany and we imported him after he had a very successful show career in Europe! Iko had numerous Best of Show and championships in Europe. Iko passed his Koer and is IGP 1 Iko passes his good looks on to his offspring. He has quite a few impressive children, in the USA and in Europe.

Hip Dysplasia
Hip testing reduces the chance of passing down hip dysplasia, which is primarily found in large breed dogs and can cause hip pain and the eventual loss of the function of the hip joint.
Elbow Dysplasia Finals (OFA, BVA, SV, FCI)
Elbow testing reduces the chance of passing down elbow dysplasia, which is primarily found in large breed dogs and can cause arthritis in the elbow joint and front leg lameness.
Temperament Test
A breeder may perform additional tests on their dogs that do not fall into these general categories. These tests may be more uncommon or very specific to a particular breed.

Genetic testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide variety of hereditary diseases of differing prevalence and severity such as Progressive Retinal Atrophy (an eye disease) and Von Willebrand's Disease (a blood disease).
