Q. & A. with Karen
Why did you start breeding?
I regularly participate in conformation shows, and I started breeding to not only continue my show line, but to better the breed overall and help set the standard for responsible breeding practices. It's an amazing feeling knowing that I made a positive contribution to these dogs and the families who love them!
What makes your program special?
I strive for quality and excellence with everything that I do. Holding myself to high standards is paramount to the well-being of my dogs and to the integrity of my program. As an avid member of the German Shepherd Dog Club of America, I am dedicated to maintaining and improving upon an excellent pedigree. I am very conscious about health, conformation, structure, genetics, and temperament, and every breeding decision is made accordingly. Once a litter is on the ground, I carefully hand-raise each puppy to ensure it is well-rounded and equipped to excel with its new family. I truly love my dogs, and I know you will, too!
Where do your breeding dogs live?
They live in my home.
