I'm Tina L., the breeder behind War Cry German Shepherds located in Phelan, CA. I’ve been breeding German Shepherds since 1986. I compete in AKC obedience, conformation, Schutzhund and sheep herding. I’ve also worked in the entertainment industry for 30 years and a lot of my dogs have been in print ads, sitcoms, movies, and documentaries. You can see a list of these on my website at warcrygermanshepherds.com. I’ve also supplied puppies to Guide Dogs of America.
Q. & A. with Tina
Why did you start breeding?
I’ve always had a love for German Shepherds since I was a kid. I never planned on being a breeder, but once you have one German Shepherd, you want more!
What makes your program special?
I am super strict about what I breed and what I buy. The pedigree has to be full of titled and OFA certified dogs, and all dogs I breed MUST conform to the written standard and pass all health screenings plus be conformation champions with working titles also. Any dog not meeting my criteria is sterilized.
What are the different breed coat types in your program?
Our puppies include stock and long coat varieties. Coat types may vary depending on the parent dogs.
What are the different breed coat colors in your program?
Our puppies include black and bi-color. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.
Where do your breeding dogs live?
They live in my home.
