Meet the breeder

I'm Marie K., the breeder behind Warrior’s Legacy Alaskan Malamutes located in Michigan. I am a 2nd generation breeder with over 20 years of experience. Established with love, devotion, & understanding of this magnificent breed, I strive for health, temperament, and to be a mentor/friend to my puppy parents. My entire program is OFA certified for hips/elbows and Embark tested/clear.

Q. & A. with Marie

  • Why did you start breeding?

My parents started raising mals when I was 11 (2001). I was always the dog expert in the family and partook in training and handling from the start. In 2020 I realized my passion for this amazing breed could only be fulfilled if I started my own program apart from my family’s.
  • What makes your program special?

My knowledge, experience, and passion; having multiple generations of OFA certified dogs; using Embark to help pair parents; extensive knowledge of pedigrees; I’m always available to my puppy parents and will always take back a pup if his/her family can no longer keep him/her. I provide a lifetime health guarantee.
  • What are the different breed coat colors in your program?

Our puppies include seal and white, sable and white, red and white, black and white, gray and white, agouti and white, and white. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.
  • Where do your breeding dogs live?

They live in my home and a kennel on my property.

Marie is so caring, and loving of each sweet member of the "family," visible in the face and nature of our sweet baby puppy ❤️ 😍. Oh my goodness, when Jo was put into our arms she started kissing us both right away ❤️💖. She is such a beauty, and sweetie. The entire experience was amazing. Marie is so thoughtful and kind, and very communicative. She sent photos and video updates throughout the entire process. It was incredibly special. Our Vet was completely impressed with the documentation Marie provided, making it seamless for them. Also, we live a great distance away from Marie, and airlines weren't an option because of temperatures. Therefore, she utilized a ground transport option. The individuals who delivered Jo to our doorstep were complete sweethearts, and Jo looked completely peaceful and relaxed. Marie also provided an incredible care package, complete with everything ❤️. We are overjoyed and grateful that we found her, and highly recommend her to everyone. ❤️ 😍 💖
