Meet the breeder

I'm Sarah E., the breeder behind West Cobb Dogs located in Dallas, GA. Purebred AKC red Mini Poodles and Havanese. We also breed for Cavapoos and Havapoos focusing on a lovely temperament and excellent health. Our dogs live at home with us. Matching each family with the right puppy is our goal! We are honored to bring another member of the family into your life!

Q. & A. with Sarah

  • Why did you start breeding?

Our oldest daughter wanted a puppy more than anything when she was little. We told her to pray for one! Our hearts changed, and as we embraced this journey, we learned what a tremendous gift a GOOD DOG is. We wanted to share with others, and show other families what it’s like to have a good dog, too!
  • What makes your program special?

We love what we do- truly! Each of our children have trained and cared for their dog. It’s made our “little shadows” around here lovely and compliant, each knowing who they belong to, and they are loved and cared for- no “outdoor dogs” these are our beloved friends. We always hear how lovely our puppies are!
  • What are the different breed sizes in your program?

Cavapoo puppies are miniature size. Poodle puppies are miniature size. Sizes will vary depending on the parent dogs.
  • What are the different breed coat colors in your program?

Our Havapoo puppies include gold sable, red sable, white, and red. Cavapoo puppies include blenheim, red, and apricot. Poodle puppies are red. Havanese puppies include cream, gold, red, red sable, and gold sable. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.
  • Where do your breeding dogs live?

    They live in my home.

Getting a puppy from Sarah

Sarah has been certified by Good Dog’s screening team for responsible and trusted breeding practices. When you’re ready, reach out to ask about the puppies or anything else on your mind. You’ll get to know each other through messaging, phone, or video and pay securely, all on Good Dog.

Sarah partners with buyers to find the best match as the puppies develop and their personalities take shape. Typically, matches are finalized when the puppies reach about 6 weeks old.

“I really can get a pretty good idea about 4-5 weeks on which pup would suit which family- and I am choosing the option of temperament assessment because it ia such a joy to do. I always allow for the family choice when it comes to sex of the dog. But, I’d like to think of myself as a “really good picker” 😉 I listen well and evaluate with a 12 point rubric. I am happy to talk that over with you. My goal is for everyone to feel comfortable and confident in the decision. We love our pups, and we are thrilled that they will have a wonderful life with their new families! ”

Sarah was so great to work with! She answered all my questions and was very easy to coordinate with. I am having so much fun with sweet Maple (now known as Dolly)! I’m so grateful that I found Sarah’s post and I got to bring this sweet girl home.

Sarah was so wonderful to work with on our journey to become first time dog owners. Our sweet boy Tucker was raised with so much love and care in Sarah’s home with her beautiful family. He has been an absolute joy - smart, sweet and well adjusted from the day we brought him home - a testament to the loving operation that Sarah runs. She was extremely communicative and informative along the way giving us lots of advice and confidence as first time dog owners. I am very pleased to share our sweet boy Tucker is six months old and thriving. We love him so much and recommend Sarah without reservation!

Sarah was wonderful throughout the whole process! We talked on the phone and then texted. I picked out my precious Molly from a three day old litter, and Sarah kept me updated along the way with pictures and comments so I got to watch her grow from three days old to eight weeks old. Sarah arranged for me to pick up Molly in Chattanooga and it made it so convenient and so easy. The whole process was a good experience and Sarah was incredibly friendly, helpful and wonderful to work with. I am extremely happy with my selection and look for years of happiness with my beautiful cavapoo, Molly.

My wife and I had a wonderful experience working with Sarah. From the beginning, she impressed us with her professionalism and made us feel confident we could trust her. She was communicative throughout the process and regularly shared photos and updates as our puppy grew, which meant a lot while we were waiting to bring her home. As first-time dog owners, we appreciated how thorough Sarah was in answering our questions and addressing our concerns. We came across West Cobb Dogs unexpectedly and feel fortunate that we did. Our mini poodle puppy has a sweet, gentle temperament, and we’re confident she will be a perfect fit for our family. We highly recommend Sarah from West Cobb Dogs to anyone looking for a knowledgeable and caring mini poodle breeder!
