Q. & A. with Shelly
Why did you start breeding?
I was first exposed to breeding with having a litter of miniature poodles with my aunt mentoring me as a teenager. The experience was so rewarding, I fell in love with breeding/whelping all together. When I was in my 30's, my husband and I decided to venture out and fulfill my longing to raise puppies again. This time, choosing the West Highland White Terrier, as we had researched the breed well and knew we would relish these vivacious, loyal, and beautiful dogs. We have been raising Westies for 15 years now and couldn't be happier with this exceptional breed.
What makes your program special?
All of our parent dogs and puppies are raised in our home as part of our family. We prioritize socialization and exposure experiences as we raise our puppies. We are most proud of our reputation for producing puppies that transition in to their families so easily. This is due to our process in puppy raising and high standards.
Where do your breeding dogs live?
They live in my home.
