Meet the breeder

I'm the breeder behind Westies of NC Highlands located in Asheville, NC. Raised in a loving home, these puppies are very socialized and well-adjusted. They are used to being held, loved and played with. With Champion parents, we strive for the best qualities in a Westie. Personalities are key, but also their appearance, coat and health are top quality. Previous buyers have stated these are the best Westies they have ever owned. Numerous Veterinarians remark on how good these dogs are!

Q. & A. with Sissel

  • Why did you start breeding?

Once I bought my first Westie, I knew that I wanted to have puppies and enjoy producing good quality pups for others.
  • What makes your program special?

This is a home project. I am not a kennel. The puppies are treasured and cared for in an unusually dedicated fashion. We start potty training immediately when they can walk and also kennel training when they are emotionally ready. They are used to playing with adult dogs and different temperaments. They have had exposure to many different people who help to care for them.
  • Where do your breeding dogs live?

    They live in my home.
