I'm Matthew F., the breeder behind Windwood Irish Setters located in New York. Many of our puppies have become exceptional show dogs, and all of them have become excellent family dogs and lifelong friends. We enjoy showing our dogs, and they are our companions in every adventure. We are invested in Irish Setters, as well as Shelties, and in helping the breed thrive. We do all that we can to give our puppies the best lives, including proper health care, thorough socialization, and finding them each wonderful, loving homes.

    Our dogs are part of our family, they live in our home and are not just kennel dogs. Our goal is to breed quality shelties and irish setters that excel in the ring, do what they are bred to do and have great personalities! But especially to be the best companions that can become part of your family!

Puppy prices include between $2,400 - $3,400 final payment, before taxes & fees.

  • Hip Dysplasia

    Hip testing reduces the chance of passing down hip dysplasia, which is primarily found in large breed dogs and can cause hip pain and the eventual loss of the function of the hip joint.

  • PRA, Irish Setter Type

    Genetic testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide variety of hereditary diseases of differing prevalence and severity such as Progressive Retinal Atrophy (an eye disease) and Von Willebrand's Disease (a blood disease).
