I'm Tammy P., the breeder behind Wintersun Eskies of Tennessee located in Smyrna, TN. We care deeply about our dogs and have built that love and respect for the breed into every aspect of our program. We enjoy training our dogs, competing in conformation shows, and spending lots of time with them doing a variety of other activities! We love our dogs dearly and are so proud of their accomplishments.
My breeding program is small and very thought out for health, temperament and for the preservation and betterment of the breed.
Q. & A. with Tammy
Why did you start breeding?
My mentor is Lenise Redding in Boise ID. My dogs originated with her line and we now have joined forces to expand the Wintersun Eskie family into TN. Lenise has played a vital role in my learnings and knowledge of everything Eskis, as well as in breeding for their preservation.
What makes your program special?
All breeding and placement decisions are vetted through each other (Lenise in Boise and myself), to ensure the best decisions are being made for the dogs and the potential new homes that they will be placed with. We want to make sure that not only our pups will be in good hands, but that our puppy buyers will get a puppy that is the best fit for them and their family. We also offer life-long support and require that if a major life event should occur (hopefully not) that the puppy is returned to us. Our intent is to make sure that no Wintersun puppy will ever be homeless or sheltered.
What are the different breed sizes in your program?
Our puppies are mini size. Sizes will vary depending on the parent dogs.
What are the different breed coat colors in your program?
Our puppies are white. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.
Where do your breeding dogs live?
They live in my home.
