I'm Melinda B., the breeder behind Wondar Shepherds located in Noel, MO. All of our dogs are loved as family members. We cherish our puppies from birth up until they leave our arms to snuggle into yours! We commit ourselves to preparing each one of our puppies to thrive in their new homes, and we enjoy working with their new families so that they can raise their beloved companions with confidence!

  • Why did you start breeding?

    I started breeding when I was a young mother of 3 boys and just love raising puppies.

  • What makes your program special?

    I have plenty of experience with dogs and it's so rewarding to raise them with lots of socializing and love. I spend all night with the mother as she is whelping her litter to make sure she is comfortable and if she needs help I am there. I spend lots of one on one time with my puppies to make sure that they are happy, healthy and confident. They are exposed to many different surroundings and environments and well socialized! I make sure my breeding pair are the best to compliment each other and are Embark health tested. My puppies are dewormed every 2 weeks starting at 2 weeks old. They get their 1st shots.

  • What are the different breed coat types in your program?

    Our puppies include stock and plush coat varieties. Coat types may vary depending on the parent dogs.

  • What are the different breed coat colors in your program?

    Our puppies include sable, black and tan, and black and red. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.

  • Where do your breeding dogs live?

    They live in my home.

Getting a puppy from Melinda

Melinda has been certified by Good Dog’s screening team for responsible and trusted breeding practices. When you’re ready, reach out to ask about the puppies or anything else on your mind. You’ll get to know each other through messaging, phone, or video and pay securely, all on Good Dog.

After buyers complete the application and screening process, Melinda partners with them to find the best puppy match.

Price

Puppy prices include a $100 non-refundable deposit and between $700 - $900 final payment, before taxes & fees.

“The price includes AKC papers, health guarantee, deworming and 1st set of shots. Lots of socializing and vet check. All of our puppies are the same price regardless of sex, color or coat type. The deposit holds the puppy for you until you can pick the puppy up.”

This helps protect both you and your breeder, ensuring that you both have a clear understanding of the terms of your puppy purchase.   • Hip Dysplasia

    Hip testing reduces the chance of passing down hip dysplasia, which is primarily found in large breed dogs and can cause hip pain and the eventual loss of the function of the hip joint.

  • Elbow Dysplasia Finals (OFA, BVA, SV, FCI)

    Elbow testing reduces the chance of passing down elbow dysplasia, which is primarily found in large breed dogs and can cause arthritis in the elbow joint and front leg lameness.

  • DNA Disease Panel, Degenerative Myelopathy (DM; SOD1A)

    Genetic testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide variety of hereditary diseases of differing prevalence and severity such as Progressive Retinal Atrophy (an eye disease) and Von Willebrand's Disease (a blood disease).

    Melinda and her husband have been very welcoming, they make sure you have everything you need to take your dog to a loving and happy home. through the puppies youths they are farm raised mostly outdoors, which for me meant instantly being a part of my puppies pact from the day I brought him inside. He’s a super cool dog, he’s a great listener, and no matter where we go he’s always within 3 feet of me. If you’re considering caring for a puppy I would highly recommend stopping by the wondar Shepards farm.!
