I'm Sue R., the breeder behind Woodsia Whippets located in Centerburg, OH. I've been a responsible, in-home hobby breeder since 1983 and have produced over 30 champions. I breed for beauty and temperament. I raise all of my dogs with love in my home. I have high expectations for my puppies and make sure to place each one with an enriching and loving family that will match their temperament and personality!
Q. & A. with Sue
Why did you start breeding?
I was introduced to the idea of breeding purebred dogs while at an obedience class at an all-breed club. I have enjoyed the journey and learning more about my dogs in the process. It's become a passion that I love sharing with others!
What makes your program special?
All dogs and puppies are raised in my home with me. Since I am retired, I get to love my critters all day! I health test and temperament test all of my pups to be sure I'm offering the best companions possible.
What are the different breed coat colors in your program?
Our puppies are black brindle. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.
Where do your breeding dogs live?
They live in my home.
