Meet the breeder

I'm Monica G., the breeder behind Yggdrasil Buhunds located in Fort Collins, CO. We breed athletic, intelligent, work-focused Norwegian Buhunds from fully health-tested and titled parents. All puppies are rigorously socialized from birth using Puppy Culture, ENS, and similar protocols to produce well-rounded and resilient puppies. Our parent dogs are family companions, hiking buddies and accomplished sports competitors.

Q. & A. with Monica

  • Why did you start breeding?

I've been fascinated by genetics since college and have long wanted to breed buhunds. Now that I have amazing mentors and excellent dogs, I'm excited to bring my dreams to life.
  • What makes your program special?

My goal is to breed and raise Buhunds who thrive in the modern world. As such, all of my dogs live their lives to the fullest with me--we hike, go to work, and visit shops, breweries, and cafes together.
  • Where do your breeding dogs live?

They live in my home and guardian homes.
