I'm Darlene J., the breeder behind Zion Malinois located in Fredonia, AZ. Breeding Program Overview My puppies are raised to be adaptable and confident, making them suitable for first-time Belgian Malinois owners who value guidance, as well as experienced handlers and professionals seeking a capable family companion with natural protective instincts. Our dogs are not only affectionate and people-oriented, but also beautiful, well-structured representatives of the breed. I provide ongoing support through curated educational resources, Zoom consultations, and referrals to reputable trainers worldwide when advanced training is desired. My breeding program is built on the belief that true stability and protection come from genetics, sound structure, and correct early development. I breed Belgian Malinois to be confident, bonded family dogs with the clarity of mind and natural awareness that also make them reliable protectors. All parent dogs are OFA-compliant, with hips and elbows certified, Embark DNA tested for over 250 inherited genetic conditions, and have eyes evaluated. For families and individuals who value foresight, discretion, and long-term reliability, this level of health testing is foundational. It allows for informed breeding decisions, reduces uncertainty, and supports the development of dogs that are physically sound, emotionally stable, and dependable over time—providing confidence and peace of mind for years to come. “The price includes a healthy male or female puppy. Price also includes 1st vaccinations, microchip, de-worming, and AKC registration papers. Please read carefully. NO DOG MAY BE SOLD, GIVEN AWAY, OR OWNERSHIP CHANGED WITHOUT CONTACTING DARLENE JUDD for approval. I RETAIN FIRST RIGHT OF REFUSAL FOR ANY OF THE ABOVE SCENARIOS for a puppy. If for any reason you cannot keep the puppy, I will take it back, no questions asked but no money is refunded. Please research this breed before committing. In all circumstances, every puppy comes with AKC registration papers with the puppy registerable to you. All puppies are 100% purebred Belgian Malinois. DEPOSIT IS APPLIED TO THE TOTAL COST.”

Hip Dysplasia
Hip testing reduces the chance of passing down hip dysplasia, which is primarily found in large breed dogs and can cause hip pain and the eventual loss of the function of the hip joint.
Elbow Dysplasia Finals (OFA, BVA, SV, FCI)
Elbow testing reduces the chance of passing down elbow dysplasia, which is primarily found in large breed dogs and can cause arthritis in the elbow joint and front leg lameness.
Eye Certification (CAER, registered with OFA)
Eye testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide range of hereditary eye illnesses including retinal dysplasia, lens luxation, and glaucoma, which can cause impared vision or blindness.
Cardiomyopathy and Juvenile Mortality (YARS2), Spondylocostal Dysostosis
Genetic testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide variety of hereditary diseases of differing prevalence and severity such as Progressive Retinal Atrophy (an eye disease) and Von Willebrand's Disease (a blood disease).
