Why did you start breeding?
The breed has been one that has sung to me since the first exposure I had to them, and I just never kicked it. I breed to better the breed, and produce my next performance prospect at the same time, to build upon my efforts.What makes your program special?
I breed to SV standards. All dogs are exceptionally cared for, health tested exhaustively, trained and titled extensively, and loved unconditionally. They are my companions and pets, first and foremost, and are welcome to share my bed (and sometimes my food). I aim to produce truly utilitarian dogs who can succeed in any task that is set against them, happily and eagerly.What are the different breed coat types in your program?

About Finch
Medium-size, medium strong female with a high wither and firm back, leading into a croup of correct lay that could be slightly longer. The front and rear angulation are very good. The underline is good. The head is feminine with a lively expression. The underjaw could be more pronounced. Finch is one of two females born from the A litter vom Rabenauge, out of Akira and Asko. While she has thinner nerve strength than her sister, and a couple of quirks about her, the relationship with her is everything I wanted. She is pushy and very naturally engaged to her handler, with high food drive and medium toy drive. She is twitchy, if a bit loud, with lower thresholds than I would like, but she is exceptionally fun in the obedience. Regardless of her success in IGP, she has had my whole heart from the moment she came into the world.

Akira, mom

About Akira
Large, very good pigment, dark sable, good head, dark eyes. Stop should be a little more pronounced, correct ears, normal withers, firm back, good croup. Good angulation in the front, very good in rear, correct front, very good underline. Correct coming and going. TSB pronounced, does out. Akira is a large female of medium strength. She has a very expressive face, excellent pigment and a fluid, harmonious build. She has moderate food and prey drives, with high toy drive, and is wonderfully clear headed. She is eager and willing to work, with a strong desire to please. She has strong protection instincts on the field but is balanced and stable off of it. Akira truly is a dog that you can take anywhere and into any situation and not have to worry about what she will do or how she will react. She is as at home on the protection field as she is relaxing on the bar patio, or at the cafe, though not for lack of drive. Brains, brawn and beauty rolled into one package, I am honored to call her my own.

Hawk, mom

About Hawk
Upper medium-sized female, medium strong, with high withers, a firm back, and a short, sloping croup. Her angulations are good and are balanced front to rear. Her head proportions are correct, and her expression is feminine but strong. Overall, a well put together female with a functional and athletic build. Hawk is one of two females born from the A litter vom Rabenauge, out of Akira and Asko. She is self-confident, boisterous, and social with people and dogs, with a joy for working. She has high food and toy drives, with lots of possession and prey. I am very excited to watch how she continues to mature and cannot wait to get her onto the field. She is an improvement on her mother in the ways I had hoped and she will only get better with age.

Hip Dysplasia
Hip testing reduces the chance of passing down hip dysplasia, which is primarily found in large breed dogs and can cause hip pain and the eventual loss of the function of the hip joint.
Elbow Dysplasia Finals (OFA, BVA, SV, FCI)
Elbow testing reduces the chance of passing down elbow dysplasia, which is primarily found in large breed dogs and can cause arthritis in the elbow joint and front leg lameness.
Eye Certification (CAER, registered with OFA)
Eye testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide range of hereditary eye illnesses including retinal dysplasia, lens luxation, and glaucoma, which can cause impared vision or blindness.
Cardiac Evaluation (registered with OFA)
Heart testing reduces the chance of passing down congenital heart disease, which can cause a range of symptoms ranging from trouble exercising to heart failure.

+5I’m so happy with my choice of getting a puppy from Samantha. I have had two shepherds before so I’m familiar with their temperament. However, my puppy is super smart. She listens, follows cues, comes immediately when I blow her whistle and is already crate trained. I’ve had her for 10 days now and every day she amazes me. We will start training next week and I’m so excited to see her flourish. I found Samantha on Good Dog and made an appointment to go and see the puppies. I was very impressed how knowledgeable she was about the breed explaining situations to me about vaccinations genetics, etc. I felt very confident after an hour of talking to her that I had found the right breeder. Seeing Senecas mom who listened to every command given as well as the puppies all interacting together really shows how much time, patience and support Samantha gives to her puppies. I plan to get another puppy in about two years and it’s safe to say that I probably will go back to Samantha. If you’ve come across her page, trust me, you will not be disappointed. A great breeder for German Shepherds.
