Meet the breeder

I'm Joe S., the breeder behind 1 Smart Choice Schnauzers located in Lumberton, TX. Our dogs are breed for health and temperament with a focus on confirmation and intelligence. We are dedicated to providing families with precious loving healthy smart schnauzer companions.

Q. & A. with Joe

  • Why did you start breeding?

While in the market for a new family companion I met a local breeder Martha Louvere with My little schnauzer pals in which I purchased a beautiful liver parti baby girl puppy. Paris has brought so much happiness and companionship to our home. I was so impressed with Martha's breeding program I decided id like to give other families like myself the opportunity to own one of these wonderful smart part of the family schnauzer babies!!!

  • What makes your program special?

Being a "small" breeder i feel like I can focus on breeding for great temperament, intelligent healthy schnauzer companions to offer to families in the community looking for that special addition to their homes.

  • What are the different breed coat colors in your program?

Our puppies include wheaten, parti, liver, and salt and pepper. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.

  • Where do your breeding dogs live?

    They live in my home.

A heartfelt thank-you to Joe S. for such a wonderful experience! His knowledge for these puppies is outstanding. Every question I asked was answered accurately and promptly, and his communication was exceptional throughout the entire process. The love, care, and attention he gives his puppies are truly incredible. It’s clear he cares deeply about their well-being, and that gave me so much confidence and peace of mind. Thank you, Joe, for everything—but most of all, I’m so thankful for my sweet Duke! ❤️🐾
