I'm Kelsey H., the breeder behind 3 Barrels Farms, LLC located in Springfield, MO. We are family-focused breeders, raising and loving top-quality puppies. We take great pride in our dogs, pups, and our program! Our puppies are raised alongside our children to develop well-socialized and happy puppies. Not only do we vaccinate our puppies according to best practices, but we also genetically test our adult dogs to make sure we are breeding healthy puppies for the long term. Our puppies are also micro-chipped with Reunite in the event they ever go missing.

Why did you start breeding?
With a little push from my grandma, a reputable breeder for more than 30 years, I finally made the jump from public education to breeding. Breeding has allowed my family growth in ways I couldn't have imagined. My kids have learned more responsibility and we all absolutely love having puppies to snuggle most of the time!What makes your program special?
From the time they are born, our puppies are well-loved and handled by our children who are very involved in our program. We believe that taking care of and loving puppies is one of the best ways we can create a win-win situation for our kids and our puppies! We provide ongoing support to our clients and love when we get photos of them growing up!What are the different breed coat colors in your program?
Our puppies include red tri-color, black tri, red merle, and blue merle. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.Where do your breeding dogs live?
They live in my home and a kennel on my property.

Puppy prices include a $850 non-refundable deposit and between $650 - $1,350 final payment, before taxes & fees.

Litter update on 12 Apr. •…George started some training today. The goal of his first session was to get him used to the leash. He picked that up pretty quickly and we worked a little on “come” and “sit” too. This guy is a fast learner!

Program update on 15 Feb. •…You read that right! Thanks to a fantastic partnership with Good Dog, we are now able to offer payments! In a challenging economy this is a great way for me to continue to help my clients bring home excellent quality pets. Deposits will be due in advance, but the balance can be transferred to Klarna and split into a few payments to make it more manageable. We only have 2 🐶 left before you have to wait until later this spring. If you're interested in this new option please reach out and we can discuss it further.

Litter update on 22 Nov. 2024 •…Sweet, sweet Lexie gets to go home today to California! She’ll be joining her half-brother Ace from Swoops very first litter. It seems fitting that they get a puppy from her first litter and her very last. ❤️ We appreciate our returning clients so much. That being said, those babies are 8 weeks old today and are all ready to go home! We have 4 beautiful black tri boys and 1 more darling blue merle girl left. We’d love to talk about options to get one home to you. We can arrange delivery coast to coast!

Toby is a show-off boy! He has a booming personality and loves ALL people! When he meets new people he loves to dance for them and show just how handsome he is! He's got a beautiful thick coat and a beautiful masculine face. Toby was brought to our program at 8 weeks from my late grandmother's program. He is AKC Registered and is in excellent health. Not only does Toby make us laugh, but he is easy to train and has produced excellent puppies for us.

Everest is an amazing AKC Registered female that has been in our program since she was 3 months old. We purchased her from my late grandmother's kennel program and have loved watching her grow into a beautiful and smart young gal. She takes to our oldest son, sleeps in his room, and displays qualities that could arguably be considered excellent therapy dog traits. She is very in tune with human behavior and has always had a more mature personality. Everest often visits campsites and travels with our family. We love taking her out to show her beauty off to the public!

Champ is a handsome AKC Registered stud that has been in our program since he was 4 months old. He was purchased from my late grandmother's kennel and has an excellent pedigree. We love Champ. He loves EVERYONE he meets and absolutely adores our kids. He is a medium-build Miniature American Shepherd. I love the markings on Champ and his puppies tend to really take after him! We are proud to say that his health testing is excellent. Champ has a fantastic personality, is extremely intelligent, and is well-mannered.

Kelsey was awesome to work with. I choose a puppy when it was only a few weeks old. She kept me posted on how she was doing and sent pictures as she grew. When it was time to pick up my fur baby she met half way. Our puppy is very healthy and already well socialized. I would highly recommend this breeder.

It was great working with Kelsey. She guided us through the process and answered any questions we had. She even answered questions after we picked up our puppy. We wanted to pick up our puppy after the holidays. Kelsey had another arrangements. We were coming from the Chicago suburbs and had an 8 hour ride. Kelsey made arrangements for us to pick up our pup by one of her relatives and even saved us 2 hours on our trip. After we got home it became obvious that our pup had been somewhat socialized. Kelsey and her kids even started calling our pup by his new name (Yogi) in hopes he would recognize his new name quickly. In two days he would come when called. We would highly recommend Kelsey and 3 Barrels because she goes the extra distance.

Kelsey was great to work with. She answered my questions and assisted me in making a proper decision regarding the puppy I was looking to bring into my home. The puppy is very smart and it is clear she was loved and cared for. She has been an awesome fit and we have great things planned. She will be introduced to our search and rescue team soon and will be going through training to be a part of Search and Rescue. My other pets love her already and my children adore her. She is working on potty training and basics and has shown she is a fast learner.
