I'm Adriana R., the breeder behind 4MLA STABLES located in Prunedale, CA. My husband and I decided to start a breeding program because of our passion for Miniature Australian Shepherds! We have loved the entire process and are so glad to be able to provide other families and individuals with puppies that will bring tons of love and joy into their lives.
Q. & A. with Adriana
Why did you start breeding?
I had a litter of puppies a while back and even though it was a lot of work - I lived for it! I loved having puppies around and then homing them accordingly. Meeting new people was always fun and I look forward to it.
What makes your program special?
I have various dogs in the breeding program but every dog is loved and cared for @ 100%. I have 2 dogs here at home. One in Los Angeles with my parents and another female who is not mine, but will be part of the program who has her own home. We ship ground and air!
What are the different breed sizes in your program?
Our Miniature Australian Shepherd puppies include tiny and miniature sizes. Sizes will vary depending on the parent dogs.
What are the different breed coat colors in your program?
Our Miniature Australian Shepherd puppies include blue merle, red merle, red, and black. Miniature American Shepherd puppies include red tri-color, black tri, red merle, and blue merle. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.
Where do your breeding dogs live?
They live in my home and guardian homes.

Breeder-Reported Testing
Good level
4MLA STABLES reports to performing the health tests below on their breeding dogs. Ask your breeder about the tests performed on the parents of your litter. Learn more about health testing for Miniature American Shepherds.
PawPrint Genetic Panel (Breed Specific), UC Davis DNA Profile (for FDSB Registration)
Genetic testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide variety of hereditary diseases of differing prevalence and severity such as Progressive Retinal Atrophy (an eye disease) and Von Willebrand's Disease (a blood disease).
Health testing is one key piece of responsible breeding and is performed on breeding dogs to prevent the presence of heritable conditions in their puppies.
